"I came to Margate for an overnight solo birthday trip and I had the most wonderful time at No 42 by Guesthouse (Margate). "This was my old college 40 years ago so it was a trip down memory lane and lovely to see it put to good use. Great large room had everything you want except some draw space & maybe some coat hooks plenty of room to fit them in. Breakfast was ok but would be nice to have more of a waiting service. Shame the bar closed at 10pm when you just come back from a night out & the coffee machine is turned off for cleaning well before 10pm, these are all minor things & I would return again."

"In over 30 years of travelling on business, this is one of the best places I have stayed in.Although I did not meet the owners it was clear that the accommodation was well looked after and virtually everything had been thought of for the comfort of their guests. Virtually everything was absolutely spotlessly clean.The only small point I noticed was that there was dirt around the toilet seat hinge - a bit of a dirt trap and difficult to access(I'm sounding like a "Four in a Bed" contestant...
