"The resort is beautiful and quiet. The beach is very small but it’s clean. The restaurants are good. The rooms could be clean better. Some of the staff makes you feel unwanted mainly the housekeeping staff. If the beach was bigger and some entertainment I would definitely return back to the resort."

"Absolutely beautiful property with the most beautiful staff! This was my first solo trip and St. Maarten, specifically, Sonesta Ocean Point made me feel so safe. Everyone was so kind from the airport staff to the custodians. I will most definitely be back!"

"This property is okay if you are not planning to explore the island. Staff is very helpful, especially Sharon. However, the property is over priced for what you get. Every evening it's the same menu. The alcoholic beverages are watered down with limited variety. We stayed for 3 nights this time and our backs are hurting, because of the mattresses. I have stay at this place several times since they opened over the years but I'm very disappointed with the new management. It's just not worth it...

"The welcome party was great. The drinks at the bar was amazing. Rooms are nice. Great that a car rental company is on the compound. Most of the staff was friendly however at times I felt like I was an unwanted guest. As persons coming after me were served before. Also had an incident that the cleaning person trash was left in the room after the cleaned."

"The beach is stunning. The buildings are regal. You can see the water where ever you go. The islanders are very friendly nice people. Even the Airport is great, makes the US look silly. My wife and I have been on a lot of island trips but nothing was like this."

"Visually it’s one of the most beautiful hotel location I’ve travel. It’s located in a wonderfully in the French side of the island. I’m a little physically challenged but I wanted to check it out. Yes it was somewhat steep . I did ok. It was worth it but I don’t think I would recommend to someone who has knee or back problems. I was also challenged by the mosquitos in the room. Overall nice hotel."

Privacy was very limited due to the popularity of the beach club and the loungers right outside our window, however I was ok with it given the gorgeous view and the large windows. The neighbouring restaurant had loud club music late at night that I could hear, and was required to put AirPods in to drown out the noise. Perhaps ear plugs would be nice as an amenity.
