"I surprised that this hotel had a 8.2 rating. The lobby was nice, small but clean. There are stairs, no ramp, to the elevators. Which makes it difficult for getting your suitcases and extras to your room. They have kiosks for checking in and they don't work and only one person working the desk. This created a lot of confusion and a full lobby, which is very small, of people needing help checking in. The room was very small, no closet, no microwave, but did have a mini-fridge. The bathroom did not have a counter and no place to put your things. The toilet is industrial, like in a gas station bathroom and the toilet paper was above your head on the wall. There was only one trash bin in the room with no garbage bag. There is a pretty good restaurant attached to the hotel which was convenient. There is also a little mini market to purchase drinks, very expensive though."

"The room was very clean, staff very friendly, but it’s just not what I’m used to. If you want a higher end hotel, this is not it. It’s not a fleabag, don’t get me wrong. The room smelled like an old hotel. Don’t know how to describe it any better than that. The room was tiny. The parking lot was on a different block, there was no security, and the spaces were very narrow. I worried about my car getting dinged up. "

"Other than location, the Paramount hotel was pretty average. The one big thing that makes or breaks our stay is the staff and how they treat you. My wife and I felt whenever we approached the staff, it was almost as if we were interrupting them and they had short sharp responses, not overly helpful and never greeted or acknowledged us when we came in to the hotel or were leaving. However, location was great, the room was nice and that’s where it ended for us."

"Clean rooms, comfy bed, clean bathroom, big shower with good water pressure. Breakfast was excellent and very convenient. Friendly staff at front desk and breakfast area. Overall, a very nice place to stay!"

"Went to check in at 3 pm and our room still wasn’t ready. Asides from that, we enjoyed our stay there. Staffs were friendly. Location was close to a lot of things. Breakfast options were good."

"We had a king suite with kitchen and separate bedroom, large walk-in wardrobe, huge balcony, two TV’s and large bathroom. Roomy and great value for money. Unfortunately we just didn’t have time to use all the hotel facilities, but they are excellent. Only two minor complaints, the water pressure for the shower was poor but the water was hot, and no tea bags provided, just coffee. Only other thing, the hotel is on a hill, and although it’s not all that big, if you have trouble walking it could be an issue. We would definitely stay there again."

"While the lobby is being renovated it is on a temporary location. The room was great, fantastic condition, spotless, quiet, great bed/ linens, nice spacious bath with bidet. Exceeded expectations. "
