"Had a great couple of days at this hotel. Staff friendly hotel, lovely with great rooms super doggy, friendly and great food. Only pity in the area is the beach adjacent to the hotel is not doggy friendly during the summer. Other than that fantastic couple of days They also run a fshuttle to the Hut restaurant, which is well worth a visit. "
"If you are interested in the Victory or the Mary Rose it is right across the street. Super great. Parking down the street was easy but prefer not to have to do it. But if you have to remote park, it wasn't a big deal. It was pretty easy."
"Lovely stay. The host was very welcoming and friendly. Plenty of parking and very easy to check in (just send a message on here or contact the property directly to advise of your arrival time.) The breakfast was really great and there is lots of options for all diets. Room was spacious and clean, bed was really comfortable. There is also a fridge under the stairs for guests to use which is very thoughtful. Plenty of parking right outside. There’s a few restaurants and a supermarket a short walk...
"We stayed for 4 nights at Cornerhouse with Stuart and Linda and found them to be extremely helpful and the property convenient, comfortable, clean and well organised, you could go down for a continental style breakfast or it could be delivered to your room. Parking spaces were fine also their recommendations were great for local pubs alternative breakfasts etc."
"As maturer visitors, we found that having only one handrail on the stairs was challenging. An extra handrail would help. Other than that it was a great stay. If we are to return to the area the Bosuns Chair would be our first choice. "

The entrance to the hotel and rooms is controlled by an electronic code. There is a modest continental breakfast on offer with the option for boiled eggs and a sausage or bacon sandwich. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent.
I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes"
"Superb pub and BnB just outside of Ventnor. The staff were awesome, and the bed and room were really comfortable. The whole trio of Islander pubs / BnB’s on the Isle of Wight, which includes the Buddle, are a real treat to stay in, all of them are superbly well done and extremely welcoming. "
