"The room was clean, not overly large, and comfortable. The bathroom, however, was small and dated with tiny towels. We were there two nights and house cleaning was not available the first night - so the room was not made up and the towels were reused. The bar of soap was TINY - I would suggest bringing a bar from home. The breakfast had nice options and was very good. The only menu we were given was in French. We were surprised with the service charge for each morning's breakfast on our bill. The location was perfect in that part of Canada. North Hatley and Coaticook are charming towns -early October was a beautiful time to visit. The Laterie de Coaticook ice cream shop is a must visit - get a soft serve with chocolate dip topping. Also, nearby is Fromagerie La Station cheese shop where you can get a tasting of seven or so cheeses made there. The grill cheese sandwich is a must have. Paying upon checkout had a hiccup. The management wanted payment in cash or a debit card. I was not aware of that and when I paid by credit card they added a 5% surcharge to the bill. It is what it is. All in all, the room rate was well priced - especially for a wonderful area, the room was clean, breakfast was very good and the staff was helpful. I would recommend Auberge au Chocolat with this knowledge."
