"Literally just back from a 2 night stay here and stayed in a family duplex since was for 4 adults which are on a separate block to the main house.
Was a very nice stay overall, big spacious room with an additional upstairs double bed and bathroom, although just the one toilet for both floors.
Lovely quiet grounds to sit in, fairly easy 20 minute walk into the middle of Bayeux and breakfast plentiful buffet style thing.
I have an EV so perfect for me, arrived with about 40% battery and filled up...
"This was our base during our visit to Normandy. Located in a central location to restaurants and shopping, it was a lovely historic hotel. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan - which was great. Staff was courteous and helped with all our questions. Taxis are readily available to get to the train station. Will stay there again should we ever find ourselves in Bayeux. Exactly as described. "
"The staff were wonderful, very attentive and friendly.
We were in a stand alone house operated by the hotel. The only issue we believe exists, is the need for additional seating in the common area. Such as a large sofa.
The location is a few minute walk to shops, restaurants, and the tapestry. A great home base for Normandy battle sights.

"Very unique hotel! We got to stay in the "stables!" It was beautiful converted into a nice room for 3 with a kitchenette and it was very clean. Do make sure you request breakfast when you check-in for the next day if you will be wanting it. This needs to be "pre-ordered."

"It was a wonderful stay in a French chateau in the countryside. We rented a car so there was no issue with transportation but I’m not sure how you would get around if you didn’t have one. Our room was on the top floor but they helped carry the suitcases up as there was no elevator. I was worried about not having air conditioning but there was a fan in the room and when the windows were open it had a nice cross breeze so it wasn’t an issue. "We had a lovely family room which was very spacious and beautiful, overlooking the garden. The bathroom had a welcomed walk-in shower. The staff was friendly and professional. Pleasant evening-turn downs with a room refresh given. Villa Lara is 1 minute walk from the Tours pick-up, the Cathedral, shops and great restaurants. Highly recommended. "
