"Me and my girlfriend checked in late, around 10pm. I had booked a room in advance. The receptionist does not know a word in English so it was a struggle. It turned up the hotel has recently started taking bookings through hotels.com and did not know what to do. He took my passport and disappeared for 40 minutes to speak with his colleagues, leaving us in the lobby on our own. There were no towels In the room and I had to go back downstairs to get some. "We enjoyed our poolside room in this historic hotel. Yes, in some ways it could use a bit of updating, but those reviewers who focus on that miss the “Heritage” part of this hotel, which really does capture old Bangsaen. We are delighted that it’s still in operation, and in a stylish “Thai” way."
