Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa

"Let's start with the good: the room was gorgeous, great tea/coffee facilities, comfortable bed and a lovely well stocked bathroom. The bar, spa and waiting staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help. The cocktails and food were excellent and as it was my friend's birthday, there was a very lovely cake waiting in our room. The not so good: The reception staff on arrival(except for the lady with red hair) were miserable and not very friendly. Also it was difficult to understand them, as their second language was English. My friend and I borrowed the luggage cart and were struggling to get it in the door (I'm disabled and could only open doors), yet there was a male member of staff just standing watching us! There is no mini bar fridge in the room, which was annoying as we would have liked to keep milk, water and beauty products in there. The spa showers were very cold, the pool was a colder than usual as the boiler was broken plus the jacuzzis weren't working very well. On speaking with members of the club, this is a frequent occurrence, which is not good for a luxury spa and golf hotel. My friend and I still had a lovely time but would have been much better with those changes."

"Wow what great value for money! The room was basic but had everything we needed for 2 nights. Even had a fridge ☺️ All new, comfortable bedding and very clean. The owners couldn’t have done any more to make us feel more welcomed."

"The room was comfortable and clean, although looked a little tired and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was cooked to order, but the window sills inside the restaurant could have done with cleaning off the cobwebs and the odd dead insect. The carpark was located behind the building and large enough to accommodate a dozen or so vehicles. The village was reasonably quiet with a couple of other pubs and an Indian restaurant within walking distance. Overall, I would be happy to stay here again as it a great base for exploring the area."

"We loved staying in this Inn. The staff were all very friendly. I contacted them because we were stuck in traffic and also had a 7.30 table booking. They messaged back straight away saying not to worry if we were late. On arrival just at 7.30 we were booked in quickly in a friendly way and taken to our room. We were able to get changed and enjoy our meal unhurried. The room was lovely with large tv a very comfortable large bed and 2 comfy chairs and coffee table in the window. The room and en-suite were both a good size. The evening meal was really tasty and our breakfast in the morning as delicious and well presented as the evening before with various options available. I would recommend the Unicorn Inn for its hospitality, great food and very comfortable bedrooms. We really appreciated the way we were made to feel welcome and unhurried on arrival and throughout our stay. If we are in the area again I would not hesitate to book here again."

"We had a really lovely stay at Western Manor . Impressive drive to front of the hotel and foyer . Our room spotlessly clean , plenty of toiletries , towels, bottled water , a fan , tea and coffee facilities etc. The super King size bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. Really quiet room at the back of the hotel . We watched owls and a few bats fly past which was amazing !. All the staff were friendly, kind and helpful . We loved chatting with Freya ( a new member of staff and she will be a great asset to the Hotel. The food was delicious and beautifully presented with good choices on the menu . Breakfast buffet was good ( maybe could do with more fresh fruit choices and milk for coffee in small jugs rather than one big jug for drinks and cereals ...) but everything else piping hot and tasty. Many thanks to The Western Manor Hotel for a most enjoyable stay ."

"Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Very quiet, just birdsong and sheep to listen to. Cottage has everything you need, very comfy bed and nice little living area. Outside space is only at the front next to the driveway. Wooden table and chairs provided."
