Apex Grassmarket Hotel
Great hotel, great location and very clean with large rooms. Restaurant was excellent and we ate there almost every night after long day tours. Staff very friendly and we would definitely stay there again.

In general the stay at the hotel was fine. We book a bedroom without window and the AC wasn’t working (I think they had some issues with that because it was a men trying to fix it - at least that was what the staff told me) so the room was like a sauna. Great staff and the hotel is centrally located. There are times that it got noisy because I was on the first floor which was close to the bar/restaurant.

Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection
Newly opened restaurant is lovely, beautiful view and nice breakfast. Location of hotel is very central and convenient for walking everywhere. Rooms are smaller and quite basic and could use some attention to a few maintenance type details, but overall a decent spot and an excellent location
