"The hotel itself is excellent - great location and architecture. The cool atmosphere and aircon were welcoming on the hottest June day ever recorded in Cardiff! The facilities were great - including bedroom, bar and pool / spa. A couple of disappointments though. Guaranteed check-in from 3p.m. We arrived at 2.15 so went to the bar to wait. "Check in very slow and after travelling 3 hours with elderly disabled parents, our room was not ready, which is understandable. But the only offer to get changed for a wedding was in the changing rooms a flight of stairs down or the toilets! The girl on reception was adamant there wasn’t any other option available and was very unconcerned of the needs for my disabled mother. "Nice hotel stayed here previously and it was great , so booked to return for a special occasion with friends, contacted the hotel prior to visit to ask fir rooms on the same floor preferably near to each as we were celebrating 2 special birthdays Unfortunately this was a complete waste of time as when we arrived we were one on the first floor and the other on 4 th So disappointed they supposedly upgraded us but to floors 3 and 4 still not together such a a disappointing experience "
