"The location of this hotel was incredible. Overlooking the ocean, with a large balcony, and a lovely walkway along the ocean. The room was large and clean and comfortable with a couch and seating area. The bathroom was small but adequate. We walked to the hotel next door for a nice breakfast. The pool area was inviting but too cool to enjoy when we went. We'd definitely go back."

"Get view, room was clean, updated."

"Really great location! The rooms Definitely need a remodel, other than that cute place, really friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean, a little small and not too private the way the balcony is set up"

"Great, welcoming staff showing true personal interest ensuring a wonderful stay. Beautiful flowers abound."

"Clean, quiet, comfortable, and the host was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our short time in Gloucester, and staying at the Harborview Inn added to that enjoyment. If we are ever in the area again, we would stay here again without hesitation."

"My room opened onto the large balcony overlooking the ocean, which was great except it only had any privacy when the curtains were all closed tightly. The balcony was beautiful, although a very strange man set up a karaoke machine close to my room and proceeded to try to sing...The bed was comfortable, but a rug would have been nice on the newly done floors."

"This place is adorable. The bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t get the heater to work and when we messaged the staff, as directed, we got no response. Also the walls are very thin and we couldn’t hear a tv or people talking all night."

"Very nice place, you can see ocean. Near walking street and many resturant."

"It’s a cool older hotel but I was expecting more from the fabulous reviews I saw. The staff was polite but not warm or friendly. The bathroom was a bit dated and we were initially only provided one set of towels. A guest left a cocktail on the wall outside and it was there all 3 days we were. It was pretty far away from everything. I think it would be nice during warmer weather but it was a bit of a disappointment for us."

"Beautiful property and area. Rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely come back."

"This is a heat spot if you want to stay near Salem on a budget. The only thing is check in is at 4 not 3 and once you check in you also have to pay 11 dollars for parking which for a hotel is kind of ridiculous. The staff was super friendly and helpful so for them I would give 5 star. It also was sad the water park wasn’t working or arcade’s."
