Major construction noises right outside our door (#6), no toiletries or hair dryer, no coffee maker, no blanket for bed (sheet only) Pros: very cute porch area with beautiful trees and bushes, watched the hummingbirds. Friendly construction staff, very polite about not sweeping sawdust on our heads as we walked the pathway to the beach across the street ,super close to beach. The cons were very minimal things (orher then the major construction noise) I would definitely stay there again in the future

The stay was beyond amazing we had a wonderful time. It was perfect location to the bay. Only down side is the limited amount of towels and when we got clean towels they smelled old.

We had an incredible time, location right in front of the beachfront It’s amazing, local restaurants really close by. It didn’t have a security guard like the other hotels had luckily all the area around is really safe no issues nothing to worry about. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again from this location if I’m in the area again. The restaurant right next-door to hotel. It’s excellent great prices and yummy food, you guys definitely gotta try the Passionfruit Mojito

I will definitely stay again. Totally worth the price. Close to the beach, shopping, entertainment. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room is clean and AC worked so well we had to turn it down.

The place is right in the middle of West Bay, so you have a bunch of restaurants, souvenir shops, bars and grocery stores with the beach right across the street and you can you their beach chair to relax as well. The only issue that we had was that the transportation we had setup, the driver didn't show up so we had to grab a cab to the airport, which was lucky because it was at 6:40 am on sunday and ended up costing just $20 instead of the $25 that we were paying.

The location was perfect, hot water is also a plus. At the beginning the staff did not know we had reservation, but the owner knew and solved everything. We had a nice room, the last night also a small lizard visited the room despite all windows and doors were closed the whole day. Currently there are workers on site building new spaces but it was not disrupting as we spent most of time off the hotel premises.

New construction was an annoyance but I survived it. Was quiet at night and they helped to keep noise to a minimum. Other qualities helped overshadow construction issues. This property faces best beach in world. Go because of that. Great restaurants within easy walking distance. Owner lives onsite with sons to help run the place.

Very nice place. Limited amenities in the room but expected due to the price. Unit had a full kitchen with some utencils included. Clean and in good condition. Well worth the cost. Excellent location. Would be nice if they had a staffed office but for questions but understand why they dont. Definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful property with lush folage. Very centrally located with shops, eateries and beach. Use of beach chairs a plus. Very friendly and helpful owners, called me cab to airport and always answered my emails quickly. You will have to bring toiletries. Complete kitchen. Highly recommended

It was a clean, nice room. The major downside is that there was no hot water in our room. In both the shower and the sink, if you tried to turn on the hot water there was nothing, so it looks like the valves were closed. Also, they charge 25$ if you want the room cleaned even if you're there for a week or more, which is weird.

Property is great, located in the heart of West End in the middle of Half Moon bay. We stayed 10 days in the Moroccan bungalow, which was spacious and clean. Communication with the owner was excellent. We booked an airport transfer with the room, and the driver was on time and stopped at the grocery store for us before taking us to West End. There was construction going on during our visit, but the workers kept the pathways free of dirt/mud even though a lot was washing out in the rain every day. For most rooms, there are a lot of stairs- something to consider for those unable to handle it. It’s far enough off the main road to be quiet and feels secluded with the nice gardens around the property. Can’t wait to go back here!

Perfect location!

Mame trees was excellent! The most perfect location right across the street from the most perfect beach! My deluxe room was clean and spacious. The only thing I needed was a blanket because I was only given a sheet. However, I noticed on the last day that a blanket could have been requested on some written directions. I was a bit confused where to check in as the directions said to go up the hill, but there was a “no trespassing” sign on the gate. However, the day time worker was luckily walking by and saw me confused and helped me check in. Super friendly guy! I will definitely be back to Roatan and will most certainly stay at the Mame Tree again. Oh- also they provide beach loungers- big bonus!

Love the feeling of being inside a beautiful tropical garden. Property is kept very clean and is situated exactly at 2 minutes walking to the beautiful Half Moon beach. Hes, I time it ;-) Our “mame room” was huge and well equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Nicely decorated with the cutest dining set ever. Room looks like a small cute cavern. Husband and I joke about living in The Flinstones era. Loved it, we felt like children again LOL Personnel very kind and helpful, the owners treat guests with respect and made us feel welcome and appreciated Thank you so much Mame Trees family. When back to Roatán, for sure we’ll stay again Saludos a todos de Ingrid and Bernardo

A bit pretentious but can't beat the location

The hotel is right across from the beach, the best location in West End. You just cross the street and you're in the sand. They have beach chairs too for customers. The Deluxe room was on the ground floor which I didn't like, everybody passes in.front on the way to their rooms so the curtains need to be on all the time. Great size of the room, king size bed, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and a few utensils. A/C and dehumidifier. The bathroom was huge with a walk-in shower. On the downside, the shower had no walls, meaning water was splashed everywhere on the floor; two shower heads is an overkill for the low water pressure. There is hot water, you just need to play with the handle until you figure out where to find it. There are no hooks in the bathroom, no place to put a towel close to the sink and no nightstands near the bed. Also, I found 2 small cockroaches in the room. There's no reception and it feels unsupervised. Overall, it is nice, at the beach, with hot water. A bit pretentious I found but I'd stay again.
