Beautiful spot on the cliff over the Indian Ocean on the south coast of Mauritius. About 40 minutes from the airport, including the track through the sugar cane plantation.
Quiet except for the continuous roaring of the sea and the waterfall.
Wonderful staff, friendly and courteous. In particular the chief chef who made fascinating meals in local style.
Perfect, if you want something different from the standard resorts.
Reasonably easy access to most of the attractions in the south (particularly if you have a rental car).
Probably best to get half board as there is nothing around in the close vicinity.
It was amazing!
The view of outside seeing through the bog window is fantastic.
I recommend to stay room 5~9 where you can see cliff beach.
The sound of wind and tide is very loud and sometime it was terrified, but I enjoyed it.
So I stayed the another day once again.

Beautiful property with sweeping ocean views and a waterfall nearby. ATV tours leave from the property to explore the surroundings.
To take advantage of all this area has to offer, pack your hiking shoes. Also, if you plan to visit any of the waterfalls, having a good supply of mosquito repellent at lease 30% deet will be make it more enjoyable. You are in the rainforest!
Staff was wonderful and attentive. Anil was our guide and is available for daily hikes. He did a great job pointing out interesting flora and fauna. Quad bikes seem popular, but we did not utilize them. We didn't realize horseback riding was available. If you are interested in that, be sure to pack suitable clothing for riding.

The property is very secluded on an old track through a sugar cane field. This remoteness is not for everyone, personally, I loved it. The staff are friendly enough, although not very quick when it comes to service, more than once I found myself having to ask about meals, towels, internet access etc. The dinners are extremely over priced for the options available, but breakfast was delicious and filling. My overall impression was, beautiful setting but everything needs a bit of work, from the rooms to the service
My husband lives and works on the island- I visit. We have done the many gorgeous coastal resorts- on all spectrums: five star to bed and breakfasts. Andrea Lodges was a delightful departure from mass tourism to a nostalgic imagining to the way Mauritius used to be (as it is hardly an undiscovered island with over 1.2 million people living there). The service was attentive; meals were included. Accommodations themselves were adequate. What you go for is what you get: astonishing unspoiled beauty, with a view literally right from your bed. See pictures!
A morning hike was unforgettable- several hours along the coast (reminiscent of the US’s Pacific Northwest), walking west towards Souillac. The coast is rugged and stunning. Our guide was phenomenal and an additional reason to return. He knows SO MUCH!!!
