"A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks."

"We stayed at the green dragon a few years ago and it was great so we booked again expecting a similar experience. It has definitely gone down hill since our last visit, particularly the food and service level. This morning we left at 9:00 and other guests that had prepaid for breakfast couldn’t even get into the breakfast room to eat as there were no staff around! "We were shown to our room which was a good size with a large bathroom. Fresh milk available from the fridge on the landing for a cuppa. We had dinner here,very tasty chicken and salad on flatbread. Our breakfast was also lovely,freshly prepared and good quality. Cereals,juices and toast available along with a full English or other options.
