"Honestly, Oualie is not the most posh, most modern resort. It's even rather rundown. The accommodations are simple, humble and can do with some work but the sheets are clean (if you get where I'm coming from), the food is nice and staff are available, neighbourly and they work hard. "The hotel is isolated from the happenings on the island. I was told that the hotel was fully booked but there were no other cars onsite besides my rental. There was no one available for common questions and the gate was closed by 5pm. This was a manual gate which is fine but the lightening was bad on the exterior of the property making it difficult to see when returning after dark. When it was time to check out there was no one available and I had to shout for a while until a painter came down...

"Excellent stay at Sugar Bay! The staff were all pleasant, welcoming , and accommodating.. The location is ideal, being located in walking distance to restaurants, the market, and the strip. Our room was cleaned nicely each day and the pool area was well maintained. Would definitely stay again.
