The Fisherman's Village was absolutely amazing! The location is breathtaking and the sound of the ocean put us to sleep every night. The room was spacious and comfortable. The sauna and hot tub was a perfect end to everyday of exploring Iceland. Easy parking. A wonderful stay.

I was SO glad we booked here. It was the only way we saw the northern lights. Having a place where we could park free was a game changer. It was quaint and quiet, and the rooftop sauna and hot tub were a nightly delight. A classic Icelandic setting, so much more memorable than any common hotel chain.

Great location for northern lights and cozy spacious rooms! Host messaged about room number to check into 2 days ahead. Hot tub and sauna are on the roof of centermost rooms of property. Oddest thing was tea bags with sugar, but its the only place I've ever stayed with no coffee machine?

I was so pleased with my experience at Fisherman’s Village-I strongly recommend it and will definitely go back if given the chance. Reserving the space was so easy and it was surprisingly affordable, given that it’s right on the water. Communication from the property was very easy and fast! I wanted to let them know I’d be checking in late in the evening and they responded within minutes saying that was perfectly fine. The location is amazing-we saw the northern lights as soon as we pulled in. It’s about 15 minutes outside of the city but it feels more secluded than that (in a good way). It was essentially self check-in and getting into the room was very easy-no issues at all. I’ll have to recheck the name of the room we had, but it had a queen bed and two singles in a loft. It was so warm and cozy, especially nice after a day long tour of the Golden Circle. I thought having robes for us was a really nice touch that elevated the atmosphere. Even though there were many people outside looking at the lights, it wasn’t noisy at all. In the morning we got to finally look around and it was still gorgeous. The mountains and rock beach were all breathtaking. Checkout was simple and we could park right by our little “house”. We didn’t spend enough time there to use the hot tub or sauna, so I can’t speak to those (although watching the lights from the tub would have been cool). We had the BEST experience!!

This property is setting in a beautiful place near the water. Very quaint place. The person in charger was extremely helpful throughout our stay. We locked ourselves out of the room and he was there to help us out. I would stay here again.

Cozy little spot next to the ocean. Calm, quietness along with the gorgeous views made this place relaxing. The hot tub was a nice addition for myself and my family. Not too far from the city, yet far enough to make you feel like you’re out in the middle of nowhere.

This hotel was so aesthetic and cute! Absolutely loved the room. It was extremely spacious and clean and we loved the robes that came with the room. The first day we were there it was clear skies and the view was absolutely magical. The other nights we didn't have the best weather so it did get pretty windy since its on the water but the views were still amazing. Check in and out was extremely easy. Highly recommend if you are visiting Iceland and looking for something away from the city but still close enough to drive to easily.

Free parking. Nice view. Stayed in the family room with private hot tub and sauna. Only 2 towels were provided- would prefer having more towels for the use of hot tub and shower. Door locks were tricky to use- would be great if they update the those locks. No microwave. No way to turn off the bright lights outside in the hot tub so has to close the curtains which defeats the purpose to see aurora at night. Info booklet would have been useful.

I was pleasantly surprised by the isolation (what I wanted) of the Fisherman's Village. The instructions of room access was spot on. I choose the room with a hot tub, a sauna and both were a welcome addition. Although there was some distant (across the water) light pollution, a moderate Aurora Borealis KP index still made sighting possible. That particular room had a three comfortable separate sleeping areas and a generously sized bathroom with the sauna, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and hairdryer. As you walk in there is a sitting area with two chairs, coffee table, small sofa, small refrigerator, and closet with hangers. The sleeping areas consisting of one bedroom on the main level (w/door to access hot tub). Within that bedroom a stairway leads up to a second sleeping area, and the third sleeping area is accessed by a stairway in the sitting area. (Yes, there are two stairways and a wall between the two upper sleeping areas.) I would HIGHLY recommend the Fisherman's Village.

Very clean room with beautiful views. Spacious bathroom, large shower, comfortable bed and included a mini fridge. Would love to stay again!

Very cute and clean cottage that’s only about 15 minutes from the city. The landscape is stunning and perfect for northern light views.
