The bungalows are below the main road, which makes it very quiet. A few stairs to walk up but manageable even with several bags. We were the only guests, so very quiet. An excellent restaurant was about 2 minute drive uphill on main road.
Our room wasn’t heated. The only heating is via a heating pad that is under the bedsheet.
We got unlucky and our neighbours at this hotel had a child’s birthday party. The soundproofing did not protect us and we had to stay up until the party was over.
The owners were nice to us and tried to be helpful. However they told us that the scenic highway 7 was closed today. We changed our plans but still later that day found ourselves at the visitor center for highway 7 located near Daxi Mausoleum. The people at the visitor center told us that highway 7 was open to Taroko Gorge today…
