"We have stayed at Hamptons for several years when traveling and are satisfied with the hotels and staff including this location."

"The hotel was pretty nice, the pool wasn’t open for the season yet. Only complaint is the breakfast was really mediocre. The juice machine was watered down and the coffee was empty. "

"Breakfast was your average decent continental breakfast; nothing special. The kids loved the topping options for the yogurt. Parking was plentiful. Restaurants options in area were in walking distance. Room was clean but outdated, but that didn’t affect anything. Indoor pool was fun but is not heated so it was chilly. "

"The room was clean enough.But smell like the bottom of a ash tray. The refrigerator smelled of marijuana and I had placed a gatorade in the refrigerator and the next morning, when I opened the gatorade, it smelled of pot. When I turned in my key, the next morning, I asked the desk person if the rooms were, it's a big smoke free and she said, yes. That is when I shared how horrible the room smelled. "

"The room had a surface level clean. There were many areas that were not deep cleaned. The property has been remodeled with certain areas remaining dirty and outdated. The staff member that checked us is was incredibly rude. She approached the desk on her personal phone with headphones in. Once she finally acknowledged us I gave her my name and began spelling it for clarification. She promptly cut me off and said that I was “incredibly insulting” for spelling it for her. She began to lecture me thereafter. I had to interrupt her and ask her to finish checking me in. I spoke to the general manager the next day. She wasn’t dismissive but there was only a generic apology. Nothing more. We have five trips to Birmingham in the next three months. We will NOT be back."

"I can't recall a more negative hotel experience in my years. It was horrible. The staff were confrontational and uncooperative. The room was infested with asian beetles that bite [staff tried to convince me they were lady bugs - eight of them]. An educational note for your staff...lady bugs are red. The Asian beetle is orange and yes, bites! And they clearly don't have enough housekeeping staff. The room wasn't ready when we arrived (we were only 20 minutes before 3pm) and they began knocking on rooms at 9am in the morning. I normally don't choose comfort inns locations to stay - this did nothing to convince me to choose them in the future."
