Was there with my son and the staff was very controlling of everything. We felt very inconvenient and got the feeling that every time they will comparing us with asylum seeker. We will never book this hotel again!!!

2 night stay

Good hotel. Super friendly staff. McDonald's restaurant 2 mins away which is a binus, as nothing else to grab a bite to eat. Small restaurant just outside, but Limited opening hours. Definitely out the way, 30-40 euros to airport by taxi. Train station 40 minute walk, but bus service from sration on at the moment. Not the hotels fault of course. Not convenient to get too after journey, but well priced.

Relatively expensive hotel. Single room is connected to neighboring rooms via a very thin door so a normal conversation disturbs the neighbor so much that they complain. The hotel could not help with another room and the reception did not care.

Stayed for 3 days restaurant and bar never open!

Check in was slow, and receptionist could not find booking despite providing hotels.com itinerary number. Hotel restaurant was shut for the three days of our stay claiming the chef was off work however the bar was also shut for the duration of the stay, unacceptable.

Hotel with no Hot water and not safe parking space

I booked the Mercure Hotel with the expectation to spend a three days week-end in a confortable and relaxing atmosphere. I was participating to the ironman triathlon in Duisburg, and I wanted to avoid any stress by staying in a Mercure Hotel franchise. The result was totally the opposite from my expectation. Over the three days period, no hot water was available for shower during two days !! I had to take some cold water showers in the morning !!! When I did feedback the reception about the situation, they told me that "this is not their problem, it is a technical problem". I had to complain a few minutes to get their apologize !!! it was mentionned on the Hotel notice car parking where available. It was simply a lie, only few park places where avaible (<20). I had to park my car in a industrial area street in a zone where parking was somehow tolerated but totaly unsecure. A lot of Hotel residents were also in the same situation. The reception desk managers where absolutely unfriendly, showing no empathy and showing no respect for the customer. I was expecting at least at bit of fake empathy about the hot water problem but no miracle happened. Staying at the Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf - Ratingen was unpleasant and I do not recommend anybody to stay there. It should be mentionned in their introduction that hot water is not available everyday, and that you can park your car but not at the Hotel.

Hotellet er helt ok til en overnatning - ligger tæt på motorvejen og udmærket værelse og morgenmad. Der var lidt larm fra vejen udenfor ved åbent vindue.

Minder dan beschreven op internet.

Ontvangst was vriendelijk en netjes. De faciliteiten wat volgens het internet geboden wordt zoals restaurant en bar zijn gesloten. Hotel is op zich sterk verouderd en kamer krap wat betreft 1 kant van het bed. Het komt helaas niet over zoals op het internet beschreven staat . Uit " armoede" cq nood zijn we wat gaan eten bij de Mc Donald die er direct tegenover zit . Hotel is erg aan vernieuwing/renovatie toe.
