This hotel is right in the Rapid City downtown and location is the best to explore the coffee houses and restaurants. Worked well for our 4th of july visit. The Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake and Needles are like 30-40 mins away. Highly recommended.

Our room was not clean when we checked in. There was hair in multiple places, fake nails on the floor and quite a bit of filth when we used the pull out couch. We did ask for new sheets and for them to at least vacuum. Over 10 hours later and it did not get done that day so we slept in there for 2 nights before it was addressed. Staff were friendly so I'm not sure if they were short staffed or what. There was a sewage/drainage smell next to their dining room which was off putting to eat so we ate out. It was a good location for walking to restaurants, shops, and parks and seemed central for site seeing which was our intended purpose.

The location of this hotel was very convenient for exploring downtown rapid city, it was a 20 min drive to the airport and ~1hr 45 min drive to devils tower and about an hour from Custer state park. The continental breakfast covered the basics and was delicious. The evening menu was perfect for what I was looking for. My room upon check in had a few things that could have been cleaner (trash wasn’t emptied, coffee stain on night stand) but other than that was exactly what I needed.

Great new hotel located in the heart of downtown Rapid City. Pros- Lobby and room were up to date, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was included in our stay and decent. The staff at breakfast were wonderful. Cons- Housekeeping is only offered every other day, which lacks service for me. We stayed three nights and they never serviced the room.

Wonderful location, very walkable. 2 queen beds with a couch was perfect for our 5 night stay as a family, giving us a bit more space. Breakfast was good, and the hotel is still very new so everything was in great condition. Parking is a bit pricey but we appreciated the convenience and peace of mind. Only downside was a loud dog on our floor one night. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time at Hyatt Place Rapid City. We arrived early and they were very accommodating and was able to let us check in earlier than we were scheduled to. the room is very spacious and clean. Didn't get a chance to take advantage of the amenities. We did eat breakfast and I thought it had a good selection.
