While overall it was a beautiful place with nice staff, those two issues, plus the fact that it was on the more isolated side of the island (read, no beach bars, fewer restaurants), I would never stay there again. There were nice beach huts and other resorts that were a fraction of the price and much better...

"We Had an awesome time in the Vijit Hotel. The Restaurant offers realy good food and Tables right by the beach. The Restaurant has Open until 9pm. After nine everyone on this Side of the Island is sleeping. So no more Drinks or food. The Bungalows are okay. Their were clean, but no extra Komfort. The vurniture includes a bed and a little gaderobe/table. No roomservice. So also no cleaning. But the Stuff is realy nice and if you ask for example for new towels. You will get them. We will come...

"Very 3rd world , with no hot water or soap!!! No staff speaks English and very basic fried food choices. Am leaving 7 days early as I won’t last another day here. For the daily rate of $100 you would expect more then instant coffee for breakfast with fried eggs in palm oil :) "
