The resort was beautiful and had many fun things to do, The food was terrific had many different selections available. The only thing I did not enjoy was the pools. Unfortunately the water in the pools was very hot and not fun to be in. The night club was in need of better air conditioning. The cenotes area was the best thing that I enjoyed.

I was honestly close to canceling our vacation after reading some of the reviews from when the hotel first opened, but we are so happy we didn’t! Lopesan has always met my expectations, and this resort was no exception. The cenote and pools are absolutely spectacular, the new water park is perfect for families, and I loved the sandy beach-style areas by the pool — such a beautiful and relaxing concept. The food was absolutely delicious, and overall we had an amazing experience. So glad we decided to come! 100/10 — absolutely recommend!

I had a great time at Lopesan Costa Bávaro. The overall experience was excellent, from the beautiful facilities to the service and atmosphere throughout the resort. One of the highlights for me was definitely the restaurants. There are plenty of great options, but the Brazilian restaurant was my favorite. The food was excellent and it was easily one of the best dining experiences of my stay. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the resort and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

The resort is beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing. It was clean and the staff were always friendly. The pool was probably my favorite part. Two swim up bars and the lagoons so fun for older kids! We went 4 moms and our 4 teenage boys and we all had a blast. Lots to do and lots to walk around. The food was excellent. Even though they had some construction going on, it was never a burden or bother. Great location!

Rooms were clean and facility was beautiful, but it lacked on customer service and entertainment. The staff was not friendly and were not helpful to communicate all of the hotel amenities. The food in the buffet was cold, and they had the same things every day. I've been to many hotels in this area, and overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

I’ve stayed at quite a few resorts in Punta Cana, and this one genuinely stands out. It has the perfect balance of a modern luxury hotel and the fun, carefree atmosphere of an all-inclusive resort. The food was excellent, the facilities were beautiful, and there was always something happening, from activities during the day to great entertainment and shows at night. What I loved most is that it really works for everyone. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with friends, as a family, or with kids, the resort has something to offer. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing, and fun all at the same time. Honestly, I’d put this among the very best resorts in Punta Cana. And considering how many amazing options there are in the area, that's saying a lot. I would absolutely recommend it and can’t wait to come back.

Our stay at this resort was amazing! The employees deserve a 100 out of 10 for their service. A special thank-you to the staff at the lobby bar and to la sierva , Daniela at the front desk, and Elizabeth, our concierge, who made our stay so special. I honestly cannot describe how well we were treated by everyone. The entertainment was incredible, with great music. I have never experienced anything like it at any other resort. The hotel itself is magnificent—one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever visited. The main things I would love to see improved before returning are the food and the quality of the drinks at the pool bars. Everything else was so wonderful that we didn’t focus too much on those details during our stay, but I think they are important to mention. Since the resort is so large, it would also be great to have more snacks, a grill, or quick food options near the pools so guests don’t have to walk so far to get something to eat. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The staff, entertainment, and beauty of the resort made our stay unforgettable!

Went with my husband ... my sons, grandbaby and my DIL ... the stay exceeded our expectations !! We had an amazing time !! The rooms are super comfortable, no issues with the AC. Loved everything about it ! Had an awesome time ! The kids park is amazing !! The cenotes ! The big adult slides ! The food in the buffets way better than any other resorts we've been at. The mexican rest was my favorite !! The alcohol is not the cheap crap alcohol in other resorts ! The staff was super nice and helpful ! They always treated us amazingly ! Only bad part is the beach part is still not opened but hopefully we will be back !

Honestly did not like it at all,, I did not feel like I was at a 5 star resort in Punta Cana… the staff was very nonchalant, there were no baby changing stations in any of the bathrooms… it is not family friendly, there was no incentive or entertainment or even people letting you know the activities in the resorts the aesthetic and the cenote is beautiful but that’s it.. also all of the juice is artificial fake juice taste very very bad and also the drinks are very bad they use bad tasting rum… mojitos all taste artificial…. Otherwise the food was good

At eye view the room was clean, however, the shower had not been cleaned daily nor were the floors mopped. The staff was friendly for the most part. At the day of arrival check-in was at 15:00 and were told the room wasn’t ready and to go to lunch which was not not a problem but after checking back at 4 the room was still not ready and that we would receive a text when it was. By 5:00 we still had not received a message & at no point did we. Only by checking back & showing signs of frustration after a long day of travel.

The hotel needs to improve the air‑conditioning system and address the humidity odor. We stayed for 5 nights and booked nine rooms at the Lopesan Caoba Lagoon, and all of us had the same complaint regarding the air conditioning. My room, 4190, had a strong humidity smell. They offered to change my room, but the alternative room smelled even worse. I believe the odor is caused by the air conditioner not functioning properly. Aside from that issue, everything else was wonderful. The staff is amazing and made our stay truly special, especially Chocolate and his team at the buffet and restaurants. I highly recommend dining at Khalo, Brassa Nova, and Lima — the food was outstanding. The pools are incredibly beautiful, and there is plenty to do. The bartenders were very friendly, especially Caesar.

At first when we arrived there was miscommunication but the next day, Manager Willy went above & beyond to fix everything & offered a room upgrade & get us situated to make things better. If you have Expedia Gold membership just make sure to communicate clearly to the check in receptionist, they have personal guest attendees for Expedia members that take care of everything for you & make all the reservations for the restaurants & activities. I did not fully understand that at check in but afterwards the next day it was more clear. Property is extremely beautiful at night but during the day the theme is very dark to set a cave like experience, not really my cup of tea. Don’t be late with the restaurant reservations, they are very punctual & don’t make exceptions, strictly reservations for dinner, make all your dining reservations & stick to them from the time you check in. The Brazilian restaurant would be the best option. Wide selection of meats & salad buffet Buffet staff are very attentive & friendly Property is very large in size so be prepared to walk a lot Room size & balcony are very spacious The pool, Cenote & water slides are excellent. My overall experience was 9/10. My recommendation for such a top tier resort is to implement top shelf liquor for the premium experience
