"We had a wonderful stay with Giovanni and Luis and were truly impressed by their generosity, kindness, and welcoming spirit. Their hospitality is exceptional, and they were very attentive to guests throughout our visit. From the moment we arrived, we felt more like friends than customers. Giovanni and Luis took time to help us spot wildlife and even walked the grounds with us to look for animals, which made the experience especially memorable. The owners clearly care deeply about their guests and go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable. Despite our very full itinerary, which included several very early morning departures and late evening returns, they were completely flexible and accommodating. Nothing ever felt like an inconvenience, and we always felt welcomed whenever we came and went. The accommodations are cozy and set in a beautiful natural environment. The setting feels peaceful and authentic — it is non-commercial and much more tranquil than La Fortuna, which made it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the quieter side of Costa Rica. One of the highlights of our stay was being surrounded by wildlife right on the property. We saw slots and red-eyed tree frogs during our visit, which made the experience feel truly special. Staying here felt like being immersed in nature while still enjoying comfortable accommodations. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, attentive, and nature-filled experience."

"Warm local feel. Rooms were immaculate, felt very secure. Was more wildlife outside our rooms than on tours had macows, tucans, sloths and alot more. Best of all mama cooks you a great breakfast every morning."

"Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!"

"The food was simply incredible: fresh, delicious and plenty of options. It was so easy to eat a gluten-free diet without feeling like I was missing out on anything. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We especially loved our private Dome Suite: perfect for a romantic getaway. And, the massages by Ale were a great addition. We had fabulous guides for the night hike and the morning birding tour and highly recommend having someone point out all the wildlife we surely would've walked by. Can't say enough about this property!"

"The staff was so friendly, and it was an exquisitely beautiful setting. If you have mobility issues, this is not your place - the stairs are steep, and getting to the loft is with a straight up ladder - but if you can deal with the stairs you'll be fine, and it would be an amazing place for a family with kids. The road down to the river is well-maintained, and I enjoyed the relaxed hooting of the howler monkeys on my walk."
