It was a unique place to stay, not far from Fortuna but it was away from the large groups of tourists. The ducks that lived on the little lake there were good at patrolling the property.

Very cute cottage and good location, easy to find in Waze app. Very close to La Fortuna waterfall. Property was cozy and lovely sitting on deck and hearing local birds.

The owner Roy was super helpful and had a big heart. We were hit by a motorcycle at the entrance of the hotel in a dark night. Roy stayed with all night to calm us down, handle the issue as translator, as coordinator guiding us through the whole process and brought us to the police station to report. We wouldn’t have known what to do without him. Big thank you Roy! The hotel itself has a lovely natural view, room is very clean and has everything you need.

Very serene atmosphere with lake, ducks and greenery. Very good host who lives on property. He even provided firm mattress as I didn’t like that couch mattress. Ample parking The only issue was tin roof which made lot of noise during rain but after one day you stopped noticing it haha

Absolutely beautiful property! We sat on the front deck and watched turtles swim by every morning. Was a bit worried the water would smell but it didn’t at all. It was like your own little private sanctuary. Would stay here again!!

I loved the properly. The outside and buildings a well maintained and are newer. It is visually appealing, and quaint. Cabins are roomy but small enough to let you know you aren’t in your own home. AC+. Host was helpful with helping me setup activities. My only small recommendation is a little dusting of the appliances that are not often used and more towels/washcloths.

Excellent cabin to enjoy La Fortuna. Just a short drive to La Fortuna Center and close to the Rope Swing on Rio Fortuna. The cabin was clean and the shower was hot. The bedroom has an AC, which was nice for a good night sleep. It rained one of the nights and the tin room made me feel like I was swept away to another world of comfort. I would stay again.

I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting La Fortuna. Marcos was great and provided great information to enjoy our stay. The cabin was beautiful and very relaxing, it definitely made you feel like you’re in the jungle. The city center was a few minutes down the road, just be careful for how dark it gets when driving around. I would stay here again and everyone say hi to Sammy :)

Nice , cute property. Rainforest feeling . Rain drops on the roof is very loud ., can bother your sleeping , but very natural rainforest feeling . Easy location to drive to town down . Hot water not working some days , that is the bad for showering . LOL .

We booked two rooms - one on the lake and one inside. We were offered two rooms - none of them on the lake. The rooms were in opposite directions and my kids had to stay far away from us. They complained that they had a lot of noise coming from the busy road and their neighbors. The owner is very responsive and tried to adjust our rooms but couldn't. Felt very disappointed that we couldn't stay on the lake because that was the main reason I booked the property.
