Near the city center (5 min away) where you can walk around, lots of places to eat and a supermarket to grab your snacks for the night! "

"Our room was very clean upon our arrival. The service that Katherine and Maria provided at front desk was fantastic. Staff in the restaurant were friendly, and attentive. The secure parking was convenient and reassuring. Loads of amenities for sports enthusiasts or those that just want to relax. Many different bird species on the site as well as some monkeys!"

"We booked this place last minute after our previous ABNB couldn’t be extended and we are so glad we found Fortuna Retreat. It was such a unique, new, cool spot that felt like a private luxury villa in a secluded jungle setting with an AMAZING view of Arenal volcano from your bed. We loved our room - very clean, spacious & well decorated with a huge balcony to enjoy nature and take in the surroundings. We have to give a huge shoutout to Joel at the front desk - he was very helpful with all of our questions about the local suggestions as well as helping plan the rest of our trip at the beach. He also helped us book an amazing “all in one” tour on our last day in La Fortuna that covered everything we wanted to do in 8 hours. Last but not least, make sure to walk down the road to Soda Tita Rosa, you won’t regret it. Easily the best meal we had in La Fortuna, at a great price, in a quiet setting off the beaten path with excellent service. We would have eaten here every meal had we found it earlier!"

"This is a unique property, with direct access to a river running along the property which is accessible to swim in, the views from the cabins are spectacular with mountain and natural jungle views with amazing bird and plants/flowers. Had howling monkeys directly in front of my cabin. Can't recommend this property enough, just awesome "

"This home was exactly what we needed, close to downtown La Fortuna yet away from the noise. The house has 2 bedrooms with doble beds and TV’s and one loft with 2 twin beds. The bathroom has hot/cold water and the host provides shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, a cooktop as well as the basics you need to make meals if you choose to cook. The washer and dryer were very convenient. Towels and bed linens are nice, beds comfortable, cozy living area with TV and lovely patio with greenery all around where you get to see wildlife as well. It felt very private yet very close to everything, about 5 minute drive to restaurants and stores. The host was very responsive and self check in a breeze. Internet worked great. We highly recommend Villa Escondida. "
