"The Grand Hotel Aminta was a great base for our recent trip to the Amalfi coast. High up on the hill, it overlooks Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples and downtown Sorrento with breathtaking views. "The location of the hotel was not good for us. We were a twenty minute shuttle ride from the Sorrento City center. Dinner & Spa treatments were very expensive. The hotel seemed to be full of old rich people who were not interested in exploring the town. I think for the price there are better options in much better locations."

"This is an older hotel quite far from the center of Sorrento but there is a very convenient free shuttle many times a day that can bring you up and down the cliff pretty fast. the rooms are small but clean, could use a little renovation but are equipped with a small fridge.
