Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed with our stay. I’m not usually one to leave negative reviews, but the issues we experienced significantly affected our comfort.
The biggest issue was the dampness in the room. There was a strong damp/musty smell, and even the sheets felt damp. Towels would not dry when hung up, and the room had a humidifier that we were emptying at least three times a day, despite primarily only being there overnight. There were also little black flies throughout the room, which we believe may have been related to the damp conditions.
The shower was another major issue. Water would pool across the bathroom floor during a shower, even when we pointed the nozzle toward the wall and away from the bathroom floor. We had to use our bath mat and hand towels to clean up the water, which were soaked after doing this once. We asked for extra towels and were only provided with one.
The air conditioning was also difficult to adjust, although staff were responsive when we contacted them and sent a helpful video explaining how to operate it.
On the positive side, the location was good, the owner was responsive to messages, and the room had a fairly large fridge and mini dishwasher.
Overall, the dampness, humidity, flies, and bathroom flooding made the stay quite uncomfortable and unfortunately outweighed the positives.
