The honeymoon suite with private plunge pool was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a large bathroom and shower area. The room was beach front with a small shaded terrace. The food was mixed. Sometimes good and other no so good. Unfortunately we got food poisoning whilst there which ruined the last couple of days stay there.

Absolutely loved our stay at Toa Hotel and Spa! The service was exceptional, with staff who truly go above and beyond. I wish I can give it a 10 star for their service! The rooms are stunning, with private pools and direct beach access. We enjoyed the delicious food made with love, and the beach dinners were unforgettable, complete with an amazing show under the stars. The pools are beautiful, and the whole property feels peaceful and luxurious. If you’re coming to Zanzibar, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

We booked an amazing room with a big balcony/patio and a jacuzzi. The welcoming of the staff was amazing, Ester in particular. The all inclusive is great. Many choices, super fresh food and you can even choose a la carte and sparkling wines. The views are amazing. The pool perfect. The only problem this hotel currently have is that there is a construction site right next door. Ask for a room as far from that as possible It's still worth visiting this hotel! We would happily return.

This was an amazing hotel! Great buffet style food and lovely staff. Beautiful ocean front Yoga studio. Small but acceptable gym. Pools were great. Happy hour on the upper deck was nice. Beach at low tide was good for walking but a lot of kelp.

We enjoyed our stay here. This place is very clean, cool atmosphere and greta staff. My only con was that the food was just okay and there is no food, snacks or any other options available easily outside of the set times for meals. No amenities nearby but a great place to get away and relax by the pool and private beach.

Toa was the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. Truly 5 stars. From the amazing rooms, to the food options. I had dinner on the beach twice during my stay and it was soo romantic and ethereal definitely something I will always remember. Got an amazing massage as well during my stay, I highly recommend using their spa facilities. The staff was the most amazing part, so genuine and each and everyone went above and beyond they anticipated anything I needed and was there before I could ask. As a person who works in the service industry here in New York I can honestly say that their service is the best. I can’t wait to come back with friends and family

The staff saved us a sandwich because their kitchen was closed and our flight was delayed so they thought of us. That was really nice. The staff is friendly and nice. I was a little disappointed because The sea view is not really sea view. We left a message for the hotel through Expedia to see if they had an airport shuttle but no response. You can see the sea through what looks to be a soon to be construction site. The all inclusive was not in my booking. Only breakfast was included but I didn’t have the energy to argue about it even though the lady at the front desk was polite about it and asked me to check with the day staff. The cleaners are always talking infront of your balcony so I was woken up early a few times. The breakfast was good.

TOA Hotel & Spa Zanzibar is a fairly new, very clean and cozy resort. The beach isn’t great for swimming, but we knew this at the time of the booking. The pool area is nice, but the water is a bit cold. We booked a room with a jacuzzi, but unfortunately there were quite a few problems with the jacuzzi. They tried to clean and fix the jacuzzi a few times, but the water temperature would not hold comfortable (either too hot or cold) and the jacuzzi kept getting debris from the hosing. The room cleaning took ages and wasn’t completed at one time. Housekeeping came there many times a day and didn’t really respect our privacy. The room was always very clean though. The food was good and nice variability through our stay. The only exception were the dessert cakes, which didn’t have any taste (seems to be the case everywhere in Tanzania). The beach dinner was particularly nice! Special thanks go to waitress Saida and pasta chef Abdillah. They were always very friendly to all guests and took pride in their work. The snorkeling tour booked through Funzibar, that works in TOA, was great. However, beware of booking transportation through them or at least make sure you have extra time for the travel. Both times we did that, the driver wasn’t there at the time of departure. No one was expecting us at the airport when we arrived, and the driver wasn’t there either when we were leaving. Overall, we had a really pleasant stay in TOA. Thank you!

Everything great, as mirrored in my 5 star assessment. Only thing to improve on is the sound/noice level of day and evening entertainment, it is simply too loud. Had to leave the resort some evenings and stay at other places, when I was not in the mood for loud drumming or dancing entertainment. Not even in my room it was bearable to be. Simply half the volume of all these things please.
