"New owners, friendly staff, clean room, nice breakfast, property showing its age, hot tub very high in chlorine. Could not use properly. Pool was too cold to use. Enjoyed complimentary snacks in room and fruit!"

We enjoyed the lakeside hot tub as well that was very clean although the light there looks like it needs to be replaced. Would be a great spot for large groups as well."

"Quick and easy check in. Modern hotel with a very large room (king with lake view). Only parking option is valet so be prepared to pay for valet upon arrival. Within easy walking distance to more restaurants than you can visit. Disappointed that there wasn't a pool. Didn't like that price for breakfast went up if we didn't commit at check in. The price should be the same for guests regardless of when you decide to have it. Overall, a good experience "

"Good location. When we booked, it was said that the breakfast was included, but the hotel tried to charge us. They accepted it when we gave them the confirmation. The room was spacious and the design was good, but things were worn out, from the doors, the heating system, the paint, etc."

It was clean but things were about to break, the taps in our room were about to come off you had to be careful when using them. The place just needs a fair amount of tlc. It is in a beautiful location and has so much going for it but the stained curtains in the restaurant, the lack of hospitality, I’m not sure if they were short staffed or not but I thought they could use another staff member so we...

"The property was incredibly clean, warm and a nice large room. It was very comfortable. The property had no restaurant or breakfast available, and felt like a ghost town. It shouldn’t be described as a resort, as it’s very clearly a motel. The check in staff and house keeping were polite. However was disappointed that when I phoned at8.30am to ask for a sachet of hot chocolate for my child, the lady at the front desk was rude and wouldn’t bring a sachet past the room, saying that housekeeping...

"The heated floor in the bathroom and the water pressure in the shower were amazing. Had a balcony with an amazing view and had chairs no table so couldn’t have breakfast out there. Room service was great except they don’t collect the dirty dishes if staying one night and if you are not charging it to the room you have to go to the restaurant to pay. Staff were were amazing and overall a great stay."

"We really loved our spontaneous trip to Rotorua. Thanks to Ripple! The room was warm and incredibly clean! Located right in front of the Rotorua luge which makes so easy to go and enjoy the activity early! We also loved the spa and heated pool. My child loved the trampoline and the playground!
