Just wanted something clean and nice. Went to Silver Fern in Rotorua and it was awful, smelly, old and had a spider under the sheets. Desperately wanted a place nice and comfortable. This place was wonderful and right next to Eat Street. Loved it.

Excellent Hotel Central location

Excellent hotel , newly renovated 2bed 2bath is excellent , no kitchenette, microwave & kettle basics but not needed as 2min walk to Eat Street restaurants . Limited onsite parking.

This hotel is a bit run down. The mattress on my bed was a bit uncomfortable as it seemed to be lower on the sides than in the middle - probably too old. I also caught a cold as the air conditioning blew directly on me as I slept. And I had a problem opening the safe in my room one day and it took the manager of the hotel some time to finally open it. On the positive side, the location is convenient to numerous restaurants. The pool is a nice amenity and if I was feeling better I would have spent more time by it with the other guests. And the staff was very pleasant.
