The hotel is very nice, it is 3km to town where most restaurants are. Rooms are clean, beds and shower are great. Our issue was the room locks. Every day we came back, our key cards would not work. Had to walk back to the hotel front desk twice to get the cards reprogrammed and they still didn’t work. They had to rebuilt the lock the first day, the next day, same thing happened. Very frustrating
Clean and spacious room. Nice shower. Beautiful pool and the grounds. Delicious fresh breakfast with plenty of variety. Good Cappuccino and was able to order fried eggs & fresh orange juice. Close drive to Polignano..
Helpful & courteous staff.
Atendimento da recepção pode ser melhor, pessoas desinteressadas e sem treibamento adequado. Resttaurante precisa melhorar opções e atendimento.
Roupa de cama pode ser melhor
Piiscina e área externa linda,
Had a wonderful stay at the hotel which had newly reopened following a renovation. The hotel had a very stylish design. The pool area was beautiful. The management and staff in the restaurant, bar and throughout the hotel could not have been more helpful and attentive. It would be impossible to name them all! The hotel is conveniently located to Polignano a Mare and for exploring Puglia area. We had a late flight on the day we departed and the hotel kindly gave us a late checkout which we really appreciated. It was such a wonderful stay and we look forward to returning soon.
We stayed at Cala Ponte Hotel, Marriott Bonvoy Collection in Polignano a Mare. The property is beautiful, with a great pool and nice breakfast if you include it, but overall it felt expensive for what it was.
Check-in was fine in the end, though at first they couldn’t locate our reservation which was stressful. One night we were kept up until 3 a.m. by a red light in our room (part of the fire alarm), which I reported the next day.
The hotel itself feels more like a solid four-star rather than a five-star luxury property. It’s missing the resort-like touches you’d expect at this level: more restaurant options, entertainment, transportation to and from town, and even a small convenience shop with essentials like sunscreen, snacks, or first-aid items. Transportation in particular would be a huge benefit, since parking in Polignano is a nightmare.
Overall, Cala Ponte is a beautiful spot with potential, but it needs more services and amenities to justify the price point.
I would have rated a five star if it weren't for my air conditioning experience! The room was set at a certain temperature which I could not lower. I asked house keeping to lower and she said she could not, that I would have to ask the front desk bc that's where it was controlled from. I asked the front desk and he would not accommodate my lowering the temp request bc it was hotel policy-not "allowed",I was not "allowed" to have my air conditioner in my room lower to my likings. For the rate per night I should be "allowed" to have my room at freezing temperature if that's what I request and choose to have!
