"We weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. There is a restaurant on the property which would have been a complete game changer but it wasn't open during our visit in mid-November. The times...

"We had an excellent time at the Mikado. It was our first time to Costa Rica and it was probably one of our best holidays. Such a fun adventure. Lolo was an excellent host and if you do stay you must take advantage of her dinners. Incredibly romantic. The location is perfect. Quick drives to Tamarindo, Playa Avellanas and Playa Conchal. Great places to explore and then return to the peace and tranquility of the lodge. Absolutely perfect. "

"Please beware this place has a bug infestation and it’s so hard to get in and communicate with the people for the code. We couldn’t even stay because it was inhabitable. I reached out directly and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. Please save your time and money! my family had to look for another place around three in the morning. Such a hassle"

"We have stayed at many all inclusive! This is by far one of the best! Food was so good we were in shock! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Pool was perfect temperature, easy beach access, suite was perfect! I really can't say enough positives. We traveled with children and they had a blast! Do the all inclusive! "This is a great boutique hotel for someone looking for a reclusive and quite stay. It is located in the mountains with gorgeous views. Fyi. The standard room only has one queen size bed. If you're traveling with friends, it is best to book separate rooms unless you want to share a bed. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We are so glad to have chosen LADE."
