Good location but very noisy because the have a construction near the hotel. Also they don't have many options for the breakfast and they start serving the breakfast late.

The property was in a great location. The property was not represented accurately on the Expedia website. There is no bar on the roof open (although the pool is very nice), nor was there yoga every morning. Breakfast was just fine but doesn't open until 9. 3 of the days we were there we couldn’t take advantage of the free breakfast because we had to leave before food was available. Rooms were clean and pleasant.

This place was okay, however, I felt like it was lacking in some areas. The location was ok, not far from 5th Avenue, but almost a mile from the autobús ADO. The room had the basic, it was a room with a king size bed and only 1 chair but plenty of room for another chair or a couch. The tv remote did not actually turn the tv on/off, it just worked to turn on their streaming service “totalplay” I never did learn to use it and all the channels were in Spanish and did not catch my attention. It was nice that they decorated my room for my bday and there was a bottle of wine (Don Simon- about $7usd price) since I booked a VIP Premium deal. We needed ice to ice a swollen knee and the hotel did not have ice. The room also did not have a hair dryer, we had to request one and pick up from the front desk. Same with the towels, they only have us 2 and we wanted a third to use for the ice we bought from 7-11. The breakfast hours are from 9-11am (I think that’s late) so we requested to pick up early. It consisted of toast with butter and syrup (not jelly), a cup of fruit (papaya and cantaloupe) that was kinda of mushy, and a small bottle of water. The breakfast was definitely disappointing. I requested a late check-out since my flight was at 7pm and was told it would be $40. I told them I would be leaving by 2:30pm and then was told $20-I felt that charge could’ve been excused for an Exp Gold member and since the construction from next door woke me up two days. I would not stay here again.

This is a pretty property & staff is great. We arrived after the pool was closed & the young man at the desk turned on the lights for us to have a quick swim which was beautiful! Roof top pool all lit up, it was a lovely end to a stressful day. It was quite noisy until about 1:30am and then all was quiet. Room was simple but clean & nicely decorated with a huge balcony & rainhead shower

The only good thing about this place is that it's conveniently located in downtown. The service and the facility in itself was terrible. First of all, there was no phone in the room to request for any service. We had to go down at the reception desk everytime we needed something which was always empty cuz they were always away from the desk. Our room had no fsce towels and when asked for some, the lady at the reception was hesitant in providing as if we were going to steal them from her. On our 3rd night, we requested bath towels because they didnt replenish our rooms when they cleaned it and it took her hours to bring them over to our room. The room showed a hammock on the balcony but when i asked them for it, they said it was getting washed for the season? The furniture on the balcony had a flimsy chair and a plastic table. We were 2 in the room so only 1 of us was able to sit on the balcony. Everything was rusty. The mirror and walls were dirty. The room was always humid. The bed was uncomfortable. The pool "bar" on the rooftop was not in service. I dont think it ever was. Oh and to top it all off, they randomly turned off the water without warning so we had to go down to the reception desk to ask them to turn it on manually everytime we needed to shower. I can keep going but all in all, I would definitely not recommend this place.

Superior Location and Outstanding front desk service with easy check-in. Classy and Chic. Perfectly situated to be 100 steps from 5th Ave yet unbelievably quiet in our room. The Best Sleep I've had in a month of staying in different hotels during our travels. Spacious room with a refrigerator and a complimentary bottle of wine. Fast elevators and underground parking were a bonus. The rooftop pool and lounging area was perfect with cool views, quiet and relaxing. We travel to Playa DC often and this will, no doubt, be our new "Go-To" hotel. If you've clicked on this, you're done looking. Reserve! You will not be disappointed!

Hotel location is ideal to explore Playa's ever growing areas. We stayed in the Master Suite - room size is excellent and the external Hot Tub a nice area to relax. We noted it was a special celebration and the staff did a great job on decorating the room for our special event. Initially, breakfast offer (continental) was very poor (as commented by others) - but on discussion with the Manager we agreed an upgrade - this was great and very healthy (served in Green & Fit) Hotel amenities are quite poor - Sky Bar should be renamed to Sky Terrace - as there is no Bar services and the whole upper deck area is falling into dis-repair and an underutilised space for the hotel. Pool appears to be maintained - but due to lack of facilities and particularly the poor state of the toilet/changing areas not used. Room amenities are very basic and limited to 2 coffees per day, 1 bottle of wine on arrival (for 2 persons this was not a luxury offering) - no other refreshments, or water given. Room service every other day. Cleaning staff are great and did a good job on the room, but public areas – particularly the toilets are not maintained. Front desk staff are disconnected from the guests and only respond when asked/ prompted for action. Overall, the hotel could be an excellent base in Playa, but without investment in the amenities – there offering of a bed & limited breakfast will cause them to decline further.

Nice place
Very nice hotel with a helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast is minimal and there is some nightlife noise because of the close proximity to 5th avenue. All in all a great little hotel, one block to shopping/entertainment and a few minutes to the wonderful beach!

The evening front desk was extremely helpful in having maintenance change out the shower head (which was raining water on the bathroom floor causing to cover the floor with water), getting me wash cloth and small towel which were not there when I arrived, and was all around friendly. I thank him for his quick and professional service. :)

The staff that works here are very friendly and helpful. Our check in experience was easy and the room was as pictured. We had rented a car so we were specifically looking for a hotel with parking. The parking that this hotel offered was an underground garage that can only be opened by the staff (for both entering and exiting). This wasn't a huge deal for us but for people who plan on using their vehicles a lot, this might matter. From our room we could hear a lot of the traffic and noise from the street, which with the exceptional location isn't a huge surprise but the construction on the building across the street woke us up at 6:30AM. Lastly, the water in the shower took quite some time to warm up. Overall I don't regret staying here but until the construction is complete I probably would stay elsewhere.

Soho Playa is Fantastic.
Stayed at Soho Playa in PDC for 6 days. Excellent service from the start. Very friendly and helpful and accommodating the entire time. Convenient location, secure free parking, easy street parking if wanted, and very much in the heart of the nightlife area. My only complaint was the shower head was a bit weak. The shower at the pool had a better head and I would have preferred in my bathroom. Pool on the roof and rooftop area was all very nice and fun to enjoy after a day exploring. Can’t say enough nice things about the service and the friendly staff. Excellent in every way.

This hotel was being advertised as a 4-star. It was an ok place to stay, but very disappointing. The hotel needed maintenance on the roof pool and bathroom area, it was in very bad shape. There is nothing special about this place, the service, or the amenities. This is a 2 or possibly 3 star hotel in reality.

Soho playa is in a excellent location with friendly and great front desk staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Rooftop pool is clean and nice. There are lots of restaurants around this area. Overall we had a great stay!

No, there is not a continental breakfast
Hotel is in very busy area with street parking. Parking is available at the hotel underground once you check-in... kinda complicated. Staff during evening was very friendly. Free wine bottle was very nice. Room A/C worked okay. TV was complicated to work. Bed was very uncomfortable... headboard kept hitting the wall every time I moved. The shower was okay but nothing to write home about. Towels are tracked with a separate key card to insure there is no theft. In the morning we checked out and looked forward to what is called a "continental breakfast", though it definitely was NOT. Breakfast is served next door in the cafe with a coupon. We asked the man what we could eat and he responded "a piece of toast, a piece of fruit OR fruit juice, and a cup of coffee OR a cup of tea". No where on planet earth is that considered a "continental breakfast". It was one serving altogether... no refills on the coffee/tea/juice, no second piece of toast. When I asked the morning staff at the hotel what was up with the supposed "continental breakfast", she responded: "You are used to eating eggs and bacon with continental breakfast in the US, but here in Mexico a continental breakfast is a piece of toast, a piece of fruit, and coffee". It was very condescending. We won't stay at the hotel again... I don't like liars, and it is a LIE to call the breakfast a "continental breakfast". Of course Hotels.com won't do anything about the false advertising.

I really , really wanted to love this hotel, but we did not ! There were lots of positive points but unfortunately the negative ones were overwhelming. First of all a 100 stars review for the service. Waaw, absolutely INCREDIBLE service. Everybody is so nice and friendly , ready to help. Location...well, that depends. If you are a light sleeper DONT STAY here, it's very,very noisy. But if you like the Live atmosphere on 5th Avenue literally a block away from the entrance then this is your place. Tropical destination hotel without refrigerator ???? Come on !!!!! Big points lost there !!! Towels not changed in 5 days ??? Another huge letdown. The continental breakfast offered in the adjacent restaurant next door : an insult, don't even bother asking for it. No wi-fi , what a blow !!!! Good size rooms, comfortable beds, nice size balcony and the best air conditioning unit that we ever had in our vast traveling experience : efficient and quiet. Big plus there. Overall is not bad...but I would not stay here again.

We arrived at this property late and in a pinch. The hostess up front was very gracious and we were in our room in no time. It was a comfortable room. Ideally located and great value.
