"I hate leaving negative info but for the benefit of future travelers, I have to be honest about a few items with this property: 1. It was absolutely buzzing with flies inside. There was spray and a fly swatter inside which indicates this must be a known issue to the property manager. It made our short stay very uncomfortable. 2. This is not a hot tub, it is a swedish bath. "Wonderful historic hotel; however, it can be a bit noisy from the metro outside, especially with the heat and windows open (no AC/fans provided). The receptionist helped us download the free city transportation pass we used to get to the Paul Klee Museum. A must see!! The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast service was exceptional."

"There is not a full wall for the shower, and a 1/4" x 1/4" block to separate the shower from the rest of the bathroom, so prepare for water to be generally all over the wall and floor. There is also 3-in-1 soap/shampoo/conditioner, so make sure to bring your own if you have hair. One of the workers let us check in a few minutes early; the self check in kiosk will not work if you arrive before 1500. The hotel is 15-20 mins walk to any of the bus/trams to bern, so you will generally be approximately 40 mins from the city The vending machines are extremely expensive."

"I got a lakeview room, and it was THE nicest view that I had in my entire stay in Switzerland. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I wish I'd spent more time at this location, as there is so much to see in the area. The restaurant only served non-alcoholic wine, which I thought was a bit strange."
