I was delighted to learn that Pope Saint John Paul II slept in this place when it was still a religious site. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is not for you. "This hotel is fantastic! The balcony view of the Tuscan landscape and the Basilica was incredible. The twin bed was adequate and fit the theme of staying at a former monastery. The staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel has a chapel inside (it was a monastery) and that was an added treat. The main churches were easily accessible. I cannot imagine staying at a more beautiful place in Assisi than this hotel!"

"The hotel is overall good, some staff was not very on top of things, keep asking the same questions, assigning wrong rooms. The breakfast was just OK. Restaurant food was not very good. Overall the rooms are clean, well equipped and maintained, air condition is very good during summer, rooms are a little small. The hotel location is super convenient, right next to the bus stop and elevators."

Very helpful multi-lingual staff, whether giving advice or directions, selling mini-metro transit passes, or storing luggage. Excellent central location within the old walls, near to major piazzas, historic sites, museums, cafes & restaurants. Easy to access hotel from bus station via moving stairs (escalator), near to mini-metro line to get to/from main train station. A great summer stay in a great Umbrian city!"
