"As close to right downtown as can be at this price point. Understood what I was getting into with shared bathrooms, hearing other guests absolutely destroying the toilet while I'm taking a shower, not surprised the laundry card machine and multiple vending machines ate my change; it's whatever, I've stayed in student housing before and have had a great time. "Beautiful heritage building, and our king room was fantastic. The staff was really helpful as we arrived very late after our flight got delayed several times in Halifax and didn't get info in St. John's until 1am. The lovely, sweet attendant even brought us ice as it was on the other side of the restaurant"

"We had a spacious suite , unfortunately it was very dimly lit, and three nights in we found silver fish in two locations in our room. We alerted the manager , and on a 7 night stay was offered a $40 credit without an apology. After voicing my concern that they may have gotten into our suitcases, clothing , etc. His words were it is a dampness bug that usually doesn't climb. I told him we found one while we were sitting on the sofa and two on the kitchen counter which means they definitely ...

"Rooms were nice. Reception and breakfast staff friendly. Breakfast good however would have been nice to have a bit of a choice for the hot dish."

"The room was very dated and the pic of room booked looked nothing like pic on website. The tv didnt work and when we were leaving saw some sort of weird big on the floor.The hallways smell old and gross. I do not recommend this place at all."

"It’s was a beautiful property, walking distance to the harbor and memorials and many great restaurants with live music. Room was very nice and comfortable."

"The good: It is a clean and newly renovated setup. Clearly they have taken a house and made it into 5 rentals. We stayed the in Orca Suite. The downside: We aren't fancy travelers in the least but at 430 in the morning our first night I was finding us a hotel room for the remaining 2 nights of our trip. The room felt like a shoebox that you could hear every bump and step from other guests beside and above. The bed is a double pushed up against the wall was not comfortable at all. ...

"Liked: room size and layout; easy parking and access; closet layout. Clean Disliked: room fan/ac/ heat was impossibly loud making it difficult to sleep- hear the tv or even carry on a conversation. (Room 406) -1 for that issue. Desk staff were unhelpful and not typical of my previous NL experiences. Over a 4 night stay, we engaged at check in/out and 3 questions - they couldn’t care less and were of no help."

"I had the most amazing stay at this hotel. It was in the perfect location and everything was so clean and put together. I highly recommend this hotel for your St. John’s trip!"

"The staff were friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained. I wasn’t expecting a kitchen in the room, but it proved to be very convenient. The only thing that I was disappointed in, was there wasn’t a charging station for my EV Hybrid vehicle."
