Spacious and clean. Pool was beautiful and warm. Great location
Amazing stay, amazing pool and spa, will come back again! Safe, clean and fun for everyone, including a narrow but very challenging mini golf course!

Disliked: Communication
Only issue was communication as the keys were not present at key box as per instructions. However. It was arranged quickly by property caretaker and she eased our troubles amicably. Thanks to team who was working on Saturday and Sunday.
If you have only a short amount of time and don't want to travel too far with little children- this is the place to be. We already got the good weather and beaches in Perth so why not make the most of it?! This place is under an hour car trip from Perth and tailored for families. The apartments are spacious and clean, you get kitchen, fridge, dish washer, washing machine, dryer. The pools are gorgeous! The whole pool area is beautifully maintained with hot tubs and pools indoors and outdoors. The gardeners deserve a big compliment for making the place look great with all the lovely flowers and plants. You can tell, people really care! Thanks for caring!
There is a small mini golf course next to the car park and tennis court, playground, games room with air hockey, pool etc.
The only wish i had would have been an opportunity to eat at the resort. A little cafe or something would be great. But the pub next door does good food too and the IGA is not far off either. Mandurah foreshore is just a 5 minute drive away, where you can watch some dolphins if lucky or eat some fish and chips at Cicerellos. There is a big playground at the foreshore too and you can hop on a cruise if you wish too.
All in one, we had a nice stay and can recommend a visit.
OVER THE YEARS WE HAVE STAYED AT SILVER SANDS SEVERAL TIMES AND HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THE STAFF HELPFUL. GOOD RULES AND REGULATION KEEP NOISE TO A MINIMUM AND EACH GUEST IS ABLE TO ENJOY A PLEASANT STAY. WE WERE IMPRESSED BY THE REFURBISHMENT TO OUR UNIT EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN AND MODERN
Great place near the beach; lousy internet service
The Silver Sands in a small 1990's timeshare style complex near the beach. The units are full scale apartments, with lots of room. All the facilities are very good, with the notable exception of wifi service. As with so many places we visited in Australia, the service itself was mediocre, and the signal didn't really reach the rooms. I can't understand how hotels today haven't figured out that reliable internet service is a necessity, not an add-on. Electricity, water, TV and internet. There's no excuse for not delivering this in 2016.
Nice room, nice surroundings slightly tarnished by location next to ground staff workshop...loud chatter all day from ground staff [plainly a friendly lot] encroached onto our 'quiet enjoyment' of the stay. The room was also quite close to a busy main street, and being ground floor, the noise from the street was at times annoying. There may well have been alternative rooms available in the resort, so why they allocate guests to such a location when not necessary, I don't know. Rooms were bright, clean and recently refurbished....nice.
We had an awesome time in Australia, the room was big and comfortable with cooking facilities but the service could be better if only the reception was open for us to check in when our flight came in at night. Fortunately, my friend was in Mandurah a day earlier and had helped us checked-in otherwise I guessed we would have to stay out in the streets for the night. The hotel could also do with free wifi as this is a necessity nowadays seeing that we do not have a roaming telephone line and it would help a lot to keep in touch.
The overall ambiance of the place was first class. Add to that the special deal we got for this time of the year and we had no hesitation in extending our stay. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. We look forward to a repeat stay in the future.
We hadn't stayed here before and it was a very pleasant surprise to see just how clean the rooms were, including the bathrooms and bedrooms. There was a large fridge and three ice block trays for drinks, (you don't always see this)
We had the luck to bring our two grandchildren with us for the Anzac weekend and they loved it .
In particular, they loved the heated indoor pool and heated spar, as it was just a little cool for the outside pool.
The staff were helpful although initially we had to lug our luggage bags from the car, through the foyer and up to our room on the first floor. A man was at the reception desk at the time and didn't bother to tell us that there were trolleys to wheel all the luggage in, until a more helpful lady working at the desk told us about them. He actually watched us as we laboured to bring in all our bags by hand, go figure!
The only other downside was the fact that they actually charged $2.50 per half hour for wifi. I felt for the overseas visitors who are used to having free wifi everywhere, particularly where they are staying. This is quite archaic and easily turns people off as it is merely a cash grab.
How-ever, our experience was good there and I would certainly recommend it to our friends.
