"I’m confused by the good reviews. This clearly would have been a lovely hotel in the past but appears to have no investment for decades. The room I was large but had the same musty smell that pervades the whole hotel. Old carpet, missing secondary glazing panel meaning no noise insulation from busy road and nothing like the pictures on Expedia which show fairly modern rooms, It’s in a fantastic location near the centre and deserves much better care than the current owners are giving it.
