  • Selina Hostels at Playa Venao The hostel is new and not finished yet, but it has a great design, is located directly at the beach and the staff is really cool. A con is that there is only one shop which has basically nothing and is really expensive; so you either have to bring your food or eat at the bar in the hostel. The beach itself is good for surfers, but you can also enjoy the waves without a board. There are only two (or maybe three; nobody knows) buses from Pedasí to Playa Venao: once in the morning (I think at 7) and once at 12 o'clock. It takes around 1.5 hours. Keep your eyes open and when you see the sign of the hostel, shout "(la) parada, por favor"

Our stay was amazing. The property owner, April, is on site to make everything perfect for your stay. She also arranged for our whale watching excursion which was totally awesome. The property is within walking distance to town and is a lovely maintained property. I highly recommend Casa Lajagua.

Great Hosts!

The hosts, April and Beto, were extremely helpful and the rooms were very clean! They went above and beyond to get us a fishing trip and a trip to Isla iguana that were magnificent!! Breakfasts was exceptional and they actually prepared our fresh caught Dorado! Yum!

Casa Lajagua was simply the perfect start for our Panama adventure. The rooms are spacious, well kept and clean, not only the kids were thrilled with the pool and hammocks. April and her team are wonderful hosts, they really did everything to give us unforgettable days. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty, the smoothies another highlight. Thank you very much for this great experience!

Fantastic place to stay

My wife and I stayed at Casa Lajagua March 4 - Mar 7 and had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms had air-conditioning, shower had hot water and the rooms were spacious and clean. One great thing was that the rooms did not have TV's, it was so nice to get away from all the stuff that was going on back home. The patio was a great place to hang out and read and the small swimming pool was nice to cool off in. April is a great hostess and her kitchen staff prepared breakfast each morning. April made sure that if there was anything you needed and or help with to let her know. We look forward to stay at Casa Lajagua next time when we are in Pedasi.
