"The bedroom was small compared to the space in the bathroom but it served the purpose. Steeped in history full of charm Dinner was excellent. We ate in the bar as the restaurant was full and it was a culinary treat. Breakfast is so delightful- not a hot lamp in sight. Everything cooked to order and so delicious. Even though Sheffield University is directly outside the main lobby it was still tranquillity. Sheffield Botanical Garden is a 7 minute walk away and worth a visit. Would definitely stay again as it was only 30 min away from Bakewell & Chatsworth House"

"This is our second visit to The Moon and we would definitely visit again when we are in the area. All the staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are beautifully presented, clean and very comfortable. We have breakfast and an evening meal. There is usually a great vibe in the bar area. And thankfully not loud music. This time we were in a room by the road and it was quite noisy. But we do like the window open! A mat is provided for the shower but a bathmat would be useful. Its a great position for getting out and about. As I say would hope for a vacancy whenever I'm in the area."

"It’s a lovely hotel. Great setting. Staff are good. The only disappointment is that if you are on bed and breakfast basis you have to pay £25 per person daily to use the pool. This extra charge for the spa is understandable but the pool is surely part of the general facilities of the hotel."
