Perfect stay at the George. Beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming with very attentive staff. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and although it was at the front the traffic was not a problem. We had both breakfast and dinner for two nights and were not disappointed, plenty of choice and all beautifully cooked. All in all an excellent stay at a reasonable price. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

The place is beautiful. Such an amazing anniversary, but the service was what made it special. Always with a smile, always friendly and warm, always efficient and effective. Just loved our time there

The room was really really nice. We stayed in the room with the round stain glass Window, which was really beautiful. We’d travelled to the area to go to Chatsworth house for the Christmas market et cetera, which was great. Staff in the hotel were pretty friendly, more so in the restaurant than at the desk. The room was lovely although I would say that they need to change the carpet around the tub in the room as there were lots of water stains around it which spoilt the feeling of luxury slightly.

This hotel is very well appointed and in a great location for Hathersage and the surrounding areas for walks. The rooms were fabulous and very well equipped with coffee pod machine and lovely luxury toiletries. The breakfast was superb. We had the best stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to revisit.

Great family stay

We had an amazing stay at The George. The hotel is stunning and the staff are amazing. We had a very nice family room and the breakfast was incredible. We can't wait to visit again.

Everything was great

The whole thing was a serious hit with me and my group of friends. All staff extremely pleasant. Spacious room, lovely shower, great in house restaurant. I'll be planning a return trip with my family.

Staff nice, clean room, good food. My room was above the bar and you can hear the people below very clearly. You also need to look at your receipt for the barrier code i was not told this and was stuck in the carpark until i found a lady who very directly told me it was on there and there are sign in the hotel about it.
