"Easy check-in. We arrived an hour early as I thought check-in was 2pm not 3pm but our room wasn’t ready but we were able to store our luggage with reception whilst we went to eat lunch. I thought we would have a two bedroom apartment but it was actually two one-bedroom apartments with the adjoining door open. "As usual, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was functional, accessible, very accommodating, and clean. The only improvement opportunity I see is in the stiffness of the mattress in the bedroom, which is rather too soft for me, as I prefer slightly more rigid ones. The sofa bed should also be considered for potential replacement or upgrade. In all, splendid stay as usual"

"A fairly new establishment with a crisp front desk area and up-to-sate general amenities, the Gate sits right in the heart of East End, minutes away from the Aldgate East tube station and many eateries. Business travellers will find it handy.  Cosy Japanese restaurant on the same block.The famed but overrated Brick Lane is literally a walk through.
