"We loved Upper Rooms. As a note to anyone staying here, be sure to contact owner at least 24 hours in advance to get check in information. "This is a lovely, professionally-run hotel. We paid extra for a balcony with a sea view and didn't regret it. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Driving and parking in Taormina is expensive and challenging. We paid 50 euros to park at Porta Pasquale for 3 nights. It's about a 5-10 minute walk downhill from the hotel. People had a really hard time figuring out how to use the parking machine, but eventually everyone did. They need better instructions. "

"Cons: Hotel is dated. It needs a whole facelift and modern curtains and bedding colors. It was all burgundy red!! :( And the all inclusive is not all it should be. There were restrictions at the pool bar, which makes it inconvenient. The Spa was always closed. It opened by appointments only. So that limited our options. No shuttle availability. Pros: Room, bedding and bathroom were clean. Stunning views!! And close to town. This hotel has so much potential. The best part was the staff!!!! From the reception area, to the restaurant and housekeeping. They were all very nice and helpful. Thanks to them our stay was pleasant. :)"
