"I booked this hotel after reading the positive reviews. I was going to book another hotel instead, but went against my gut and decided to stay there. They were very accommodating- they picked us up at the airport at 1AM and offered a spa credit to each of us because we could not make it the first night of our stay. The hotel staff were also very helpful. The breakfast was good. The main thing we did not like was the cleanliness and the presentation of the room. The bathroom and shower floor were made of a type of concrete- which looks unique and pretty cool, except it was dirty. I used a towel to wipe waster off the ground and the towel was dirty on the side used to clean the water up. The shower had hairs on the wall and on the ground on a weird rock ornament that sat in the shower. The room had a large main bed, and two single beds. That’s great, except they made the room look more like a hostel than a hotel. The bedding looked cheap and was an ugly burgundy color. The room also had a cheap looking piece of carpet that looked dirty and was crooked under the legs of the beds. The mini fridge was also not even under the desk, and looked cheap. We had a small space outside with a table and chairs that had four walls around and didn’t offer any type of view. There was a random broom thrown in one of the corners of the area. After seeing the hairs in the shower and the other mentioned issues, we decided to book another hotel because we could not get a refund."

"True 5-Star hotel, historic and lovely. Afternoon tea was nice, but the complimentary breakfast was great. Best breakfast I had the entire trip. Grazie!"

"So far from a 5 star hotel. The staff is the most unfriendliest staff we have ever encounter. When we pulled in no bellman, front desk is extremely not professional and could care less. Guest experience is close to none. Property isn’t clean, dirt and weeds everywhere. The room is tiny, no iron/steamer. We called front desk 3 times for a steamer, after 30mins I had to go downstairs and ask again. Property has a lot of potential if well maintained. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Service is worse than a 2 star and property could be a 4. Will never be back. Their webpage and instagram are so manicurated, the grounds are far from what’s shown."

"Great hotel & very much enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and cleaned everyday, plenty of toiletries available. The breakfast (included) was great and had lots of options as well as being very tasty. There is a small gym which does the job and definitely better than most hotel gyms. Free car park with plenty of space which was ideal. Great views and lots of space to sit outside or in the lobby. The staff were all so kind, friendly and helpful. Overall, was a great hotel and would highly recommend."
