"Oversized room with a jacuzzi, however, the system leaked and water seeped into adjacent room. No 24 hour staff, so, you need to be in communication. We left before staff arrived and left the key on the hook with other keys so no security beyond the cameras. The location was ideal as was the price."

"Il Principe is one of the best located hotels in Catania, close to all the main sights and easy walking distance to Square, Monastery, Fish Market etc. The Staff were exceptionally helpful . The reception area's, and Breakfast room had plenty of space and nicely decorated with marble. 2 person lift to all floors. The hotel had somewhere for the luggage on our last day. There was alway someone on reception. The area was quiet and felt safe. Breakfast had a good variety, hot scrambled eggs or boiled, bacon, mushrooms. Cold ham and cheese, yogurts, cereals, croissants. Fruit juice and coffee. The room was a good size and double aspect. Our room had a shower, which was adequate but could have done with updating. Bed was large but a little firmer than we are used to. Towels, hairdryer etc provided. Air conditioning was excellent. Unfortunately there was no kettle or coffee maker in the room, although there was a fridge and safe. I don't think we could have got a hotel that was in a better spot, ideal to pop back to in the day for a rest."

"Didn’t realize it was on a very busy party street with special event music keeping us awake till very late…can’t recommend it because of the noise levels from the streets."

"What a gem! Close to everything yet quiet with triple windows. Hospitality? After we arrived from a very early flight, we wanted to drop off our bags. Well, the manager also insisted we have coffee and partake of breakfast too! The breakfast is amazing, with a great variety on offer and you eat in the parlor of an old palace with painted coffered ceilings. The beds were excellent. A/C worked. Very convenient location on the via Etnea and all the major spots."

"The room was large and the bed was very comfortable and king sized. Lovely, large bathroom and nice towels. Breakfast was served in the room. The location is great and close to everything. Luca and his staff provided guests a wonderful stay!"
