"Great location, perfect place for your holiday in Kyoto"

"Amazing location and property. Super helpful hosts."

"Absolutely amazing oasis in the heart of crowded Kiyomizu. Beautiful, tranquil, clean guest house with tons of space."

"Loved our stay! The room was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great, with shops and food close by. Everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. Would happily stay again. 10/10!"

"Temples super close bars close "

"Beautiful place to stay. Best feature was the iron outdoor tub! Full home with plenty of space. Step stairs. Two raised beds and two futons on the floor. Which were a little hard for me. And I love sleeping on a rock. But it didn’t matter at the end of a long walking day, a soak in the tub, sleep came Wally enough. Washer on site, no dryer, just a clothes rack which was very handy. Full fridge and microwave/airfyer. Nice fragrance bath soaps. Small shower room. But nice and hot water....

"洗濯機の洗濯槽を一応セルフクリーニングしたところ黒い塊が多々出てきた。 定期的なクリーニングをお願いしたいです。 あとは広くて快適に過ごせました！"

"Beautiful, clean, and spacious property with many traditional features and nice architectural details, close to bus stops and the underground; plus shops, cafes, and food available nearby. Host is very helpful and gave a clear explanation of how things worked, what services were available, and how to get in touch. Sake bath on offer is well worth a good soak after a long couple days on your feet exploring the area. Tatami-style mats and futons for the sleeping arrangements may sound a little...

"This place is worth the splurge! It's beautifully hidden and away from the main street, making it feel like you're stepping into historical Kyoto. It's a cozy apartment that has luxury, modern amenities, like an open air bath, great bedrooms (both western and traditional) and lovely rain-style shower, and a minimalistic living room. We only stayed one night, but we will plan to stay at least two to three next time!"

"Very spacious for a family of four with two teenagers. The kids wished we could have stayed in this house longer. Definitely a unique experience - different from the typical hotel/apart-hotel stays. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood - no hustle and bustle of tourists or foot traffic. The place had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, though we did not have to cook during our stay. There are a couple of convenience stores nearby so you can buy water, etc. Also easily...

"Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes. However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though. The only real issue is that the property is not very accessible: the closest bust stop is about 15 min away and...

"This was a perfect place to experience Japan. It had traditional Japanese accomodations and food but also with many high tech conveniences. The staff was very helpful in getting us taxis to easily visit locations like the imperial palace or the Bamboo Forest. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to have a great experience in Kyoto. "

"お部屋はキレイ 騒音気にならない "

"I highly recommend staying here. The location was perfect as a tourist staying close to the main sights in the Gion area of Kyoto. I was able to see Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka with very few people around without getting up too early. The hotel itself was beautiful and comfortable, despite the smaller size. I was worried about it being too small for three American adults, but we all fit comfortably and made it work for our stay there. It’s a great combination of old and new; it looks and feels like...

"The home is gorgeous, spotless, and the location is fantastic. . Great walk to Kiyomizu Dera, Ryozen Kannon, Yasaka Shrine, Kenninji and more. There are some fantastic nearby restaurants and bars. The distance to train stations are great. The beds could be a bit softer, but I did not try the japanese futons. It would be nice to have better instructions for the shower and bath controls."
