A nice location fronting the harbor, and the staff was extremely helpful in sharing description and directions to the many local recreational opportunities
This hotel was perfect for my needs- a quick, no-frills place to stay before a bike adventure. The location is perfect, right across the street from bike rental and ferry. A tasty, traditional breakfast in the morning too!
We had a wonderful stay as a couple! The front desk staff were patient and helpful throughout our visit. The hotel is conveniently located near the temple walk and ferry. I would gladly stay here again if I return to Onomichi.
Walking distance from JR Onomichi train station. Steps from bike rental and ferry to start Shimanani Kaido cycling adventure. Decent breakfast. Upon request buffet was opened earlier for us!

Great location to take the Shiminado bike tour. Bike rental place is right across the street.
Staff is very helpful but not much English is spoken.
Room is really really small. Double bed is against the wall so you can only get in on one side. No room to open luggage. Bathroom is so small and cramped that part of the sink is over the tub. The bath tub is 18 inches high and is very difficult to get in and out of the shower.
Breakfast was blah-better at Lawson’s down the street.
There is an inexpensive laundry in the hotel which was very convenient.
Overall very inexpensive and very basic.
Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. This was a last minute booking because our plans changed. It is by far the most basic of hotels we've stayed at while in Japan for two weeks. On arrival, you are faced with about six steps up to the front door, and we had to carry our two large/heavy suitcases up to the door; easy enough for us, but may be a challenge for many folks. We had an absolutely tiny room with a double bed (slightly smaller than a queen). At 6 feet tall/220 lbs, with an athletic build, I struggled with the size of the room and bathroom size in particular (it was awkward to move without hitting something (towel rack/toilet paper holder/etc). My wife and I couldn't move around the room at the same time. Room was very dated, but clean. Morning breakfast was Japanese style, and was absolutely adequate with extremely friendly staff who clearly take pride in their work, and providing guests a positive interaction. Due to room size, I wouldn't have wanted to stay more than one night. But location was good, and made for an easy transfer to our main hotel for this stay which was right across the street.
Comfortable, clean room. Perfectly situated for a night's stay before cycling the Shimanami Kaido. Staff were very friendly and a great help with luggage forwarding.
Clean and comfortable bed. Very convenient close to the station.

Very close to station, ferry and turistic sites. Only default: obsolète bedding, no fitted sheet or duvet, so, not so confortable for sleeping;
But very warm welcome, which IS very pleasant for the stay
