"We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely resort for 1 week and it was a lucky week since we avoided most of the rain! We had a lot of sun and a lot of fun and relaxation. The views were spectacular and since it was our honeymoon they upgraded us to the sunset room! Which had more privacy and it was just beautiful.
The staff here have all been so kind and always have a smile on their face. They had 3 amazing restaurants and 2 bars and we were always fed and kept full!
We love sushi and had amazing food at the Japanese restaurant and had excellent service. Our waitress Shanika was so kind and helpful during our stay, along with everyone else who served us this week.
We also had lovely excursions such as the dolphin tour, the sunset boat, and even swam with huge nurse sharks! This trip is one to remember!
Our private butler, Manu, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent.
We would definitely love to come back here! We had the time of our lives! We had great food, great hospitality and unforgettable views."

"Velassaru is about a 20-30 min boat ride from Mele. The boat they use is big, air conditioned and very comfortable so don't worry about being sea sick! The property is beautiful and immaculately maintained, it truly is a little piece of paradise. We stayed in the sunset side bungalows, #308 over the water, they are completely private with their own pool and a much needed breeze. We bought the full board package which included buffet breakfast, ala cart lunch and buffet dinner. All were delicious, we were very impressed. Our flight did not leave until 11pm at night so they very kindly let us stay in our room until 7pm, 12pm is their usual check out time. We arrived at 10pm unfortunately, due to the weather were unable to get to the hotel so they took us to their sister property close by. We were then taken the next day at 10:30am to Velassaru. We rode to the hotel with a group of travel agents who had been to Valassaru before, they said it was their favorite property in the Maldives.....I am beyond impressed with the property and would highly recommend it."

Facility is maintained very well - I saw staff works hard everyday - Thank u so much! 🙏 Especially, Mr Shipon (for buggy), Mr Mahmud (Terra & Mar, & Miss Olive oyl), & Mr Mahmoud (Terra & Mar) with polite manner with nice smile, willing to help us at all times. "Choosing the perfect place to stay in the Maldives is not easy at all, especially with so many top hotels and resort to choose from. However, after much consideration my wife and I selected Taj Exotica as our destination. It was the best choice! What can I say? From the welcoming staff from the airport, to the speedboat transfer and at hotel reception. Our first impressions was everyone in the hotel appeared authentic and genuinely happy to look after us. This was indeed the case throughout our 5 day stay at the hotel. The service, food was immaculate. Shout out to Bilal and Priyantha whipping up amazing cocktails in the Equator bar. Shout out also to the hospital staff at 24 Degrees: Niju, Shaatu, Ismail, Mhelen and others if I forgot your name! They went out with the service each evening at the restaurant from taking time to speak to us about Maldives and their livelihood on the island made the interaction personal and authentic. Thanks to Adam our butler throughout our time here! And the Chinese and Spanish receptionist (apologise I forgot your names)! Apart from the consistent and quality service we received. The facilities was top notch from a fully equipped gym, large infinity pool and plenty of water sport activities. Snorkelling in the lagoon was a top highlight!
Overall, this was one of the best stays we had. We are glad we chose Taj Exotica as our 1st hotel visiting the Maldives. We will certainly aim to return in the near future :) !"

"We had an excellent stay. The resort is adult only and quiet. Food was outstanding and the staff was incredible. Guests have access to Dighu resort which is larger and offers more variety. I would highly recommend the hotel."

"“Pleasant Stay.”
Positive Points:
1. Amazing view from the balcony (top floor).
2. Wonderful location (travel-friendly crowd).
3. Staffs of the restaurant were well-trained.
Negative Points:
1. The difference of the room rate from one website to another (or direct rate from the property) is huge.
2. Staffs of the reception should be professional."
