Fabulous - again!!

This was our second stay at this superb place. It’s an idyllic ancient Pazo set In magnificent gardens, with 20 fabulous and very unusual detached spacious apartments. We stayed in one of these again and had the most relaxing stay. Absolutely stunning. We’ll be back!

Its our little secret, so im not going to tell you the apartments are little house, set it very nice grounds, the staffing are great very helpful, local restaurants tend to be closed Monday and Tuesday. Supermarket are easy to get to, the apartments are at the end of a very narrow lane, There is a bus service into A Coruna, €3,20 return, with lots to see and do, and catch a train to Santiago. The coast is fantastic, and can be wild, it is the Atlantic.the air is clean. It is not the Mediterranean, tourists will find it layed back, so if your looking for real spain its the place, if your looking for Benardorm,please don't go to Galicia, I cannot leave any photo's as i lost my phone

I had a pleasant stay at the Pazo. I stayed in one of the apartment villas which was quite spacious inside. The white chairs in the bedrooms were not the cleanest looking but other than that the rest of the apartment was clean. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and the area around the hotel is very tranquil. I paid for breakfast but think it was a bit too expensive for a simple continental style breakfast (the almond cake was very delicious but I would have liked some english breakfast/earl grey teabags). The apartment roof was a bit creaky at night but the sound was easily drowned out by the tower fan in the bedroom.

For a quiet, safe, restful stay with free parking. It is located in a semi-secluded area, preferably you need a car. Great stay...fantastic service and YES, I would stay there again. I stayed there on my own, this time, however, I would book the self contained chalets (that's what I call them) when I return with my family.

El entorno del Pazo y las instalaciones están espectaculares. Zona bonita y bien cuidada. El apartamento en el que yo estuve está bien, correcto. Sólo un pero, la calefacción del apartamento no es suficiente para calentar las dos plantas. Posiblemente si hubiera estado dos días habría mejorado, pero sólo pasé una noche y tuve que dormir con 3 mantas. Bajo mi punto de vista, tendrían que haber previsto la entrada al apartamento y haber caldeado un poco el apartamento. Personal muy amable.

PISCINA ESTROPEADA

Justo los dos dias que me aloje, la piscina estaba estropeada y fue la razón por la que elegí este hotel ya que tengo dos niños que querian piscina por lo que tenia que desplazarme a otros sitios para entretenerlos, y creo que me podrían haber ofrecido algun descuento por la falta de este servicio, aunque solo fuesen los desayunos sería un detalle por parte del hotel.

Es un hotel 4 estrellas y pareciera de los años 50, las camas fatales, la lencería un asco, el servicio del restaurante una persona, el desayuno muy simple y escaso en fin , cambiamos de hotel por la mala experiencia , adicionalmente es de los hoteles más caros de la zona .

Lovely situation in the hills overlooking the town

Maria, in the evening when we arrived, spoke English, was very helpful in telling us about the area, local buses, etc. And especially helpful in telephoning the airport about our missing suitcase which is a regular occurrence here. (It is still missing five days into the holiday). A Coruna is an interesting town and has a long marina. Also an old medieval town where there was a festival going with many people in costume.

Le charme d'une ancienne domaine ne suffit pas.

Bungalows sans charme. Bruyant car fête de mariage le soir ainsi va et viens des invités. Restaurant fermé a cause de ce mariage. Fitness délabré, rouillé, hors service. Grande piscine propre et extra. Pet. dej. non satisfaisant pour ceux qui ne mangent pas salé le matin. Buffet proposait que petites quantités et était rapidement " vidé" par quelques voyageurs puis que lentement rempli de nouveau.

Un lugar tranquilo, limpio y cuidado. El desayuno poco variado aunque de buena calidad, sería más bien un buen hotel de tres estrellas. Su ubicación obliga a utilizar coche para todo.

Ligger lite "off" . Långt till centrum och andra restauranger . Lite hårda sängar och kuddar - vi åkte faktiswkt tillIKEA och köpte egna mjukare kuddar. Mycket bra mat i restaurangen! Ganska litet rum i hotelldelen. Inte alls dåligt, men med tanke på recensionerna vi läst blev vi lite negativt överraskade...

very good and service 10

very nice hotel. we stayed in a kind of bungalow. The breakfast buffet has everything you would want. Staff is very nice. We needed to book a flight to Brazil on the spot for the same day and they did it for us and even called the airline. there was no need to get on the internet for ourselves.

Got a double bed for 3 people!

it must be out of season still beginning of June. We booked 3 adults because we couldn't book 2adults and 1 child but still got one double bed. The caretaker spoke only Spanish and we could only figure out that one of us had to sleep downstairs on the couch. Only a scratchy blanket and a sausage roll pillow was in the closet. Unfortunately my husband got to "camp out" on the couch. Otherwise I could see myself spending a few days there lounging by the pool and relaxing. There is nothing in the area so the caretaker sent us into town by taxi for a meal, there was no restaurant available in the hotel. It is an unusual hotel, small individual apartments in rows on the property, the Pazo is the old mansion above where you have your meals.Apts are 2 story: bed and bath upstairs, living/dining and kitchen downstairs. Lots of weeding needs to be done, which is why we think they had not yet opened for the summer season. It's a lovely property however.
