"The property is lovely and has a very traditional English feel which we appreciated, however the entire property lacks any ventilation/airflow - suffice to say there is also no air conditioning - which made the rooms simply insufferable during a heat wave. Recognizing that the climate has changed, management needs to provide at minimum a fan per room to enable some degree of ventilation and air movement during summer months if they expect guests to be able to sleep and enjoy the facilities."

"Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)"

"Lovely staff and hotel. Stayed in a single room for two nights. Very loud group of people on Saturday night. Walls very thin. They were very loud in the Sunday morning too. Lots of door slamming . I did not say anything to staff. The staff of the hotel were kind and very helpful."

"Lovely property in lush surroundings. Wonderful big bath in the room was an absolute godsend during heatwave (36 degrees plus)."

"Lovely Hotel with restaurant. Breakfast was very nice using good quality ingredients. I particulalry enjoyed the bacon. The restaurant was also very good for meals. Location was convenient for the centre of Stevenage. Staff were helpful and attentive."

"We wrote to the hotel to give them a chance to discuss our problem, no response. Breakfast was part of our deal, we sat down ordered it, we were not told at any stage there would be a long wait, after an hour we asked, then told a delay, asked how long the server did not come back, people before us still waiting, it could have been another 30 minutes making it at least 1 and a half hours, we were running late as had family commitments, so we had to leave. No one seemed to be in charge or...

"They have ac on the rooms where you can change the temperatures. The restaurants around are also great and if you need to use transportation I recommend using A1 Taxi for budget transportation. Overall the workers are nice and if you ever need anything they will help with open arms!"

"Toilet seat unattached Please should have an outlets with USB connection ( most of places is having it ) Please super clean , super easy to access I would recommended it for sure"

"Both myself and my partner were really disappointed with our stay. The shower was freezing, for an expensive hotel I expected to have hot water. The floor of the shower was cracked in two places. The room was unbearably hot with the air con not working. Again for how much we paid I wish we had just stayed in the travel lodge up the road."
